Audi Q5 Cabin Filter Replacement MiracleMAX

This time we are replacing a cabin filter in an Audi Quattro Q5 2011.
It’s important to do a complete service when maintaining your customers’ vehicle, which includes replacement of the cabin filter. If these filters get wet due to moisture draining from the evaporator, which is part of the HVAC system, mold and mildew can possibly develop. This can spell danger for those suffering from lung disorders such as asthma.
Make sure you follow the manufacturer’s recommended service intervals carefully, including replacing the cabin filter.

Hey.! Thanks for your tutorial. I tried replacing mine with a MANN cabin air filter , however when I start the air con after 3-4 seconds air just doesn’t come... I can hear the blower but no airflow thru the vents. Can you help?

@@yashsbhatia Yes. Leave the filter out for testing. Then if it works OK, you know that you have fitted the filter incorrectly or something has come adrift when you installed it. Did you accidently knock any vents or hoses when you fitted the filter? How dirty was the old filter? Could some of it come off and blocked the outlet?

@@MiracleMAX hi! The old filter was super dirty it was replaced after 7 years. I checked this morning after re-installing the filter. I also turned off the recirculating mode and then voila got cold air from the vents but just for 15seconds. I assume some problem With the air vent selector is stuck and doesn’t open the flap.? Any DIY or need to take it to a mechanic?

@@yashsbhatia A bit hard to diagnose without more info. If you can, see if you can physically see the actuators moving & if they move back on their own. Did any dirt move into the fan & flap area? Can you clean that out carefully with compressed air?

I can't get the cover to slide all the way back on.

It has locating lugs that slide in. It does take a bit of force to slide it in all the way. It has to go past a plastic 'spring' in the centre of the door to hold it in place. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aqe0lGyJpbWngbM
