I think the changing plastic pan with built-in filters is a bit of a mechanics' scam. I always just flashed and refilled on my cars and they ran more than 150k miles with no issues at all.

incorrect, do not drive it then check the oil. you refill, run gearbox to 30-45c then shift through the gears then refill till it drips out. if it goes over 45c then you need to wait for it to cool and retest level
