Nice! I have non power/electric chairs today, and i can get my hands on a set of power seats. Do you know if its already preinstalled cables in the car so its just "plug n play"? Its an Allroad 2015. Thanks in advance.

Hi! As far as I know you don’t have the cables preinstalled. So it’s bot plug and play. But I’m only speaking from what I’ve heard, because I never did this retrofit. Good luck 👍

Salutare prietene, iti scriu din Spania, ai facut o treaba buna, am un a4 b8 si am niste huse de schimbat, buretii mei sunt la fel ca ai tai dar am o indoiala in privinta huselor din aceeasi stofa , are ca o șină de material care trebuie să treacă printr-o tijă ca niște bureți pentru a putea prinde buretele cu materialul? din moment ce noua mea tesatura nu are tija metalica si nu stiu daca este necesar

Salut! Am niste scaune normale cu incalzire si vreau sa le chimb cu unele sport la un audi a4 din 2010. Crezi ca pot muta încălzirea de pe cele nornale pe cele sport?

Salut! Sigur nu se poate. Elementele de incalzire la cele sport merg si pe partile laterale + pe partea extensibila de sub sezut, deci au alt decupaj. Plus ca atunci cand dezlipesti acel element de pe burete ai toate sansele sa il rupi. Deci nu recomand.

I want to change my seats aswell but i only find avant seats and i have a Audi A4 B8 Berline you think the Avant seats fit aswell are they universal or i need specific ones?

Hi. The front seats fit 100%. For the rear seats see my 2nd video. They will fit, but on the back side of them you will see 2x brackets which are needed for avants. If it will not bother you, you can leave them like that. But again, have a look on part 2 video for the interior swap. 👍

Sigur merge, dar frica mea a fost legata de airbagul de pasager. Daca masina nu stie cand ai pasager pe scaun oare stie sa porneasca airbagul in caz de accident? Din cauza asta am decis sa mut senzorul.

Am vazut ca ai facut bucati aceste scaune si am si eu o intrebare..eu am scaune sport textil full electric si vreau sa cumpar scaune piele sport manuale,doar lombar electric (nu gasesc full electric) pot sa mut doar buretele si pielea pe scheletul de la ale mele, ai idee daca se poate?

Din cate am vazut eu forma de schelet scaun, se poate. Nu pot sa zic 100%. Dar stiu ca altii au luat mecanismul de reglare electrica de pe scaune normale (non s-line) si l-au pus pe scaune sport/ s-line. Deci aigur merge adaptat. 👍

Jeez that’s soo much work 😢 I have the standard seats, but wanting to upgrade to the S-Line… however, my seat has the memory function which most donor seats don’t.. what’s your thoughts, or do you have any experience with that?

Hi! It’s a lot of work but it’s just time consuming, it’s not so difficult. For the memory seats I can assume you will be able somehow to keep the base of your seats with the electric part and electric motors. But I assume you need to do some cutting and welding. Maybe first remove one of your seats, disassemble the lower part and check if something can be exchanged. 😁👍 good luck!

@@istillplaywithcars yeah, where I am there’s not that many specialists who I assume can do this. I haven’t purchase one yet.. but I was one day hoping on replacing either S-Line or S4 seats.. but yeah, the memory function is very handy. So I haven’t purchased another set of seats yet… Unless I can check it without removing the whole seat? Just by looking at the plugs?

You can just replace the complete seat, but you need to find one with memory. Also you must take special attention to the airbag connector. Starting with 2013 Audi changed the yellow connector, so make sure you buy one to match yours. Otherwise you need to exchange the airbags too (like I had to do 🤦‍♂️)

@@istillplaywithcars this is really good advice. Mine is actually a 2012 Audi A4 B8.5, but it is the first of the Facelift (not the 2009-2012) and a lot of the set up is like 2013-2016 of the B8.5 .. Being the base model, it’s got leather seats but boring. I’ve got my eye on a S-Line seat for sale, but apparently the wrecker said it didn’t have memory function.. not sure which year model.. but I should ask if it’s a pre-facelift 2009-2012 as you said the airbag wiring might be different ? (Although the seats look complete.. all the electrical adjustments/airbags etc are all there)

No, I’ve used my original airbags, but also if you change them with same type is not needed to reprogram. 👍

Te salut! Vreau sa te întreb dacă merg montate și fără sa mai schimb senzorul? Adică pe la lângă martorul de centura care ar fi aprins mereu ar mai fi vreo alta problema? La airbag, mufe etc? Mulțumesc anticipat!

Salut! Cred ca martotul de centura nu ar ramane aprins, ci mai degraba nu s-ar aprinde chiar daca ai pasager pe scaun. La mufe nu e o problema, atata timp cat mufa de airbag e potrivita. Teama mea a fost de airbag pasager. Nu stiu exact cum e setat din soft, dar m-am gandit ca poate daca nu detecteaza psager pe scaun, nici nu da comanda la airbag sa sara. Dar asta nu stiu sigur. 🤷‍♂️

Hi there, thinking of doing a similar retrofit, also UK seats (RHD) into a European car (LHD). How long did the process of changing the occupancy sensor take in total. Would you do it again? Any tips? Thank you.

Hi! Changing the sensor took me about 4h. Now I can do it faster. Yes I would do it again. Tips: get a good cutting pliers for the hog rings, also if you don’t want to use plastig zip ties, get a hog rings set. Make pictures for the wires routing before removing. Be patient. 😁 Good luck! 👍👍💪

@@istillplaywithcars thank you, that doesn’t sound too bad. You’d still do it that way, rather than take the sensor off the old velour fabric seat and install it in the leather one? That way you would only have to do one seat, but maybe it’s more difficult? Is there any disadvantage with using cable ties? It looks easier than hog rings…

To take the foam + sensor from old set was not working for me. Even if the seat is also a sport one, the lines from the stiching on sitting area and backrest are different (straight lines vs. Curved). Regarding hog rings vs zip ties, I don’t see anny disadvantage, but I don’t know how much the zip ties will last. 🤷‍♂️
