your workmanship is at restoration level, not just "playing in my garage for fun" quality, like the rest of us... probably ok, but do you have clearance for the handbrake cables with those jack-boxes... a 1hr episode at tea-time is bad for me, i easily fall asleep after my tea [because i am old] 2 consecutive nights at 30mins, after tea-time is good, but please go with the majority keep up the excellent work young man !

As mentioned by others you must see this project through. I’ve unsubscribed from those that start a fantastic project and ditch it as soon as it gets too hard or something else comes along. I think you inspire others to have a go or keep them motivated on their own project but I also think your content will be enjoyed by plenty of people without the skills you clearly possess or those like me who are too old or tired to take something like this on. Keep it up!

Ah, you’re never to old to get stuck into a good project mate, it’s a good way to keep active and keep the mind occupied 👌🏼 This will thing will get done though, I will slow down now and again but that’ll only be down to money constraints while saving for the next bit… Unfortunately I’m just a normal guy that doesn’t have a huge bank balance, but if I could afford to, I’d be down the workshop full time cracking on with this and other projects!

A video a week isn’t feasible for me atm I’m afraid mate, I’d like to but being a self employed plumber, husband and dad I have limited time to spare down the workshop each week, doing metal work is very time consuming aswel, especially while trying to film it… Maybe one day though, if I ever start earning a decent bit from KZbin, I can work less and spend more time down the workshop tinkering and filming 😬

Great work Terry, keep it up. With regard to the last pieces you made, if you had cut a piece of metal slightly oversized & used 3 of the bolt holes for the radius arm to clamp it in place, you could have hammered the metal into shape around the existing panel, before cutting it out. Also if you have Mapp gas, you could've heated the metal up to shape into that tricky bit. You're welcome👍
@Tdevil86
@Tdevil86 Жыл бұрын
That’s a good shout with the mapp gas and I keep plenty of stock in my van for work so I may have a go at that technique if I need to do a similar piece👌🏼 shaping that piece over the top would have been sooooo much easier doing it that way haha good work out though doing it on the bench 😂
@neilfairless4589
@neilfairless4589 Жыл бұрын
Terry, with it being a track based car, do you need to put those holes back into the floor pan? or can you just get rid of them and fix the rot issue for good. You may need a drain hole in your jack box as well. Looking great though marra.
@Tdevil86
@Tdevil86 Жыл бұрын
Ideally I want it to still be road car aswel if I can get away with it so just trying to cover all bases really, and with how rot both these car wer I want to get rust prevention in every nook and cranny as possible lol and yes, I need to take the corners off the jack box at some point for drainage, doing the inward dimple die was an after thought and then forgot all about drainage if I’m honest lol
