Hi im not sure if you got the mk 5 escort rs2000 running yet. I saw u having fuel problems. On my one theres a thing called an inertia switch which stops the fuel pump from priming if its switched off. It can switch itself off if the car has a bang or any wiring problems. Its located on the right side of the drivers side footwell behind the plastic panel.its a black unit with a white switch. Just press the white switch in and the fuel pump should prime.it may even cut the spark.good luck mate.
