Haldex System?? ... Never heard of it and probably most Audi drivers haven't either. But testing this S3 in extremely raining conditions made me realise how good it is in the wet!
Hopefully i'm going to get Ben to bring me back and RS3 or RS6 ... or anything RS so we can have some more fun in the rain!

Humid weather also doesn't help power wise. for a turbo engine a dry cold weather gives best results

Haldex is working well , but obvious u won’t get claimed time when is heavy rain, it will get wheel spin anyway

Haldex is quality bud its even on bugatti lambo and many other manufacturers even xdrive is now a form of haldex bud 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

VAG hot hatches seem to have been dialed down quite a lot since they were fitted with OPF's. They've all taken a toll in performance when compared to the previous versions without the particulate filters. Great video!

This is why I went for the 2017 model 310 bhp saloon with a res delete.

I’ve found in my S4 if I sit with the launch activated like that bouncing at 3k for any longer than a couple of seconds things get too warm and the clutches can start to slip. The upswing method works best on the S4 where you release the break just before it reaches what your launch is set at

Sitting with the brake and accelerator pressed at the same time doesn’t do it any good and it it gets very hot very fast!

You’re living the dream sir. I’m still looking for a 17+ GTR with low miles but only 2 for sale in entire state of California and both look beat and listed at 90% of MSRP. I know you owned GT3’s in the past, do you think they’re overpriced (used) for what they are? Internally debating between GTR and 991.1 GT3.

GT3's are still expensive and not as overpriced as they once were. I had my old one up for sale through the dealer for about 3 months and now with the economic downturn i don't think anyone can expect to get big prices. All i can say is that for day to day use my GTR is spot on for me, i couldn't live with a GT3 everyday, but lots of people do.

Interesting video! I was hitting 4.3 in my 2018 when it was "Bogo" - pre OPF version though, I'm stage 2 now hitting a best of 3.48 and an average of 3.6. having a V4 technics turbo fitted next week though... should be looking at sub 3.2's Great video's though guys! not long started my own content - you're definitely refreshing to watch on youtube!

I like watching the older gen s3 videos (I have a 23 s3) I would like to mod my engine one day but a little tepid about doing so. Any suggestions as to what I could do without modding the engine? Do filters and exhaust actually help?

Heldex system is sharing the torque to all for wheels and a drive chain which made for all wheel drive the car not just front wheel drive 95% for front wheels have torque but the 5% to the rear wheels which is shit the Torsen system you actually get 40% to the front and 60% to the rear and you don’t the need to upgrade the controller because there isn’t a controller for the awd system not with the Torsen but with the haldex you do

Great engines these and work well with the DSG. Very strong and seem to put out more power than quoted. I’ve got a new Leon Cupra 290 and I absolutely love it. You guys based in Manchester by the way?

I’m amazed there’s no wheel spin. My s4 b8.5 stage1 spun all 4 wheels in the wet. Maybe Pirelli Pzeros are to blame 🤷‍♂️

Love this car but becareful audi have a monitoring system to see how many times you've launched the car, if the gearbox went and you tried to say it wasn't your fault they'd try to blame the amount of times you launched it, cheeky bastards, amazing car all the same 🔥

I can tell you that my stage 2 S3 2017 gets 6.8 L/100 on a run and averages 7.7 commuting. and get to 0-100km/h in 3.7 seconds

Don’t need to go any faster than 60 odd mph to record a 0-60 you see. The dragy won’t register a time unless you hit 60mph... which it did... thanks for watching again 👍🏼

I’ve had an S3 and consistently under 0-60 tests in the dry been getting 4.3 secs. Doesn’t help when holding the phone to measure times as needs to be in fixed position for gyroscopes not to move and activate or deactivate prematurely

Also dont forget when Audi do these 0-60 times, not only do they use a 6st race driver, but the car only has a thimble full of race fuel in it! A full tank weighs a LOT!

Thanks for the video chaps, really interesting. In the wet, that S3 is miles quicker than my 411bhp M140i lol ! I think I'd beat it to 60 in the dry, and after 60 just disappear into the distance :-)

Changing oil is easy .You guys should do that evry 6mts mannol oil off ebay gr8 price buy a load works out cheaper good oil an good price add zx1 extralube will add bit extra power an protect engines .

Did you put it in dynamic mode?..You keep mentioning Auto mode..if that’s the case you were not launching the car properly! It’s actually 0-60 in approximately 4.3 seconds!

Automatic gearbox we were referring to not manual mate 👍🏼

@@EVILGT ..I know that! But you have to pull the lever back one more time so the Automatic gearbox is now in sport mode or use the drive select feature to select Dynamic! The car will idle slightly higher..all exhaust valves will now be opened and “S” will be displayed on the cluster. If in Auto mode , “D” will be displayed! I was actually cheering you on when you figured out that traction control has to be turned all the way off and weight reduction will assist, and you recognize that it’s wet! Love the content...S3 owner ...from Jamaica 🇯🇲! You two keep it natural and real!

Yes mate. When you put it into Dynamic from any other drive select model it automatically puts your gearbox into sport. I sold these cars for 3 and a half years buddy 👍🏼 thank you for watching

You were actually putting pressure on the diff! :(..That said the RS3 is nice and subtle! That’s the intention of the design! Minimalist and Sleeper ! Looking forward to more content 👍🏾!
