These cars were monsters. 7.6s 100-200, compared to the new RS6/RS7/S8 which all do it around 8.5s. Nearly a full second faster is a pretty substantial difference. This makes sense when you realize the newer cars are much heavier AND the have less power! Hmm 🤨 come on Audi, get back on it!

That's because this S8's engine is different from today's one. This S8's 4.0 tfsi is engineered 100% by Audi, while today's 4.0 tfsi is co-developed with Porsche and it is weaker in performance because of emissions. Yes, not only are today's cars heavier, but they also have a different engine, and sadly, a weaker one.

Actually the top speed is 315km (not limited) and the best 0-100 time is an unbelievable 3.29 sec. By the way very nice vid!

Topspeed is 323gps on my stock s8 plus and the display says 318-319kmh

I had mine (modified to 710PS) up to 335km on the A20 autobahn. Even at that speed it was stable and felt completely fine.

Yea. And probably sport mode its like 50nm more and 30 power so ~630hp sport mode, normal mode 600hp, and minus 50nm of torque. Crazy fast car. Its my dream. But old version not s and normal a8 4.0 tfsi 435hp and tuned to same 600hp.

Hi Yea the car is Stock it has the same Engine as a rs6 rs7 c6 605 horsepower and yes it Can Bet the dodge because the dodge cant handle the Power ist rwd the Audi ist awd quattro

Der beste allrounderwagen den man für das Geld haben kann, vergleichbare wagen fangen erst ab 100k plus an. (S63 4matic bj 2017) s8(50-60k) hab den selber und mit ner stage 1 die leider erstmal weg ist.waren 100-200 6,6 sek, 0-100 3.1 sek und das mit ner 2,5 tonnen limo wo du dich massieren lässt bei 300+😉

This channel is not about driving cars in ways that benefit for longevity, that would be boring. Cars like this Audi S8 Plus can withstand this mechanical stress without breaking or getting damaged. Of course if you launch it every day and all day it would dramatically decrease it's longevity, but that is not what we're doing.

How cool that you are able to have such a nice car! If you want to make the car squat and launch like in the video, make sure that you don't push full throttle. When you lift off the brakes, then push full throttle. That way you don't have to have full load on the drive train while stationary. 😉

I have this car and yes it does indeed have launch control... You have to put it in track mode by selecting Dynamic then disable traction control, this will activate the rev limiter and allow launch control
