Got myself an 2018 A4 and at first didn´t think too much about this system since i´m pretty confident of my driving ability. One time it saved me from a potential crash when my toddler distracted me and now i´m a big fan of this pre sence system. totally worth it and higly reccomend.

When i drive car, i concentrate on drive. Nothing exist, only my audi and road. Usually I predict what happen next. Nobody persuade me that some electronic system knows it as well as me. I think I'm not alone. And one question. If i want to buy new audi can they sell me something with elementary electronic (quite simply functions) and body prepare for enother 20 years of driving? Then I pay double price, but I doubt.

Ok so let's say there is,for whatever reason, a semi that had to stop on one the lanes from the highway(possibly started choking and just had to stop immediately, maybe had to spend the brakes to avoid hitting some idiots that don't know how to drive etc...) so once your car automatically stops, can it also recognize if there is also another 18 wheeler behind you? I would hate to become sanwiched between two huge trucks. I'd much rather just take one hit regardless if I might survive or not. I'm more likely to survive one crash then two impacts.

What if you buy this car and don’t use the tyres it came with. It’s tested with top brand tyres. Many Audi drivers I see don’t drive their cars with hankook tyres XD. What happens then does the camera know your tyre choices?

Wouldn't this be very difficult to do with a manual transmission because of the manual clutch? The car would apply the brakes when it stops, stall out because it cant disengage the clutch. I agree with you though, seeing this in a manual would be impressive!

I have a 2018 Q5 with all the driver assistance package! It does not detect stationary objects! Videos like this one totally mislead consumers (I actually purchased my car based on videos like this). I have taken the car into the dealer several times because it will speed up on stationary objects (potentially creating a worse accident). Most of the time the dealer said there was nothing wrong with the system until I had the service manager drive it and reproduce the problem with me in the car! At that point, tons of parts were replaced, but the same issue and problem continued. Now the dealer is saying it is performing correctly, but when I call AudiUSA or consult the manual it says the opposite. I purchased an Audi thinking it would have superior driver assistance safety features that would keep me safe in the event that I don't react to a dangerous situation, this one is so erratic that it may cause more accidents than prevent. Honda seems to have better lane keeping, Audi is all over the place. In this case, spending more money does not necessarily get you better quality!

Tests look synthetic. Pedestrian will never behave in same "calm" manner. And other car also may have AI which could not be predictable.
