Great video. In my opinion, your front speakers' wires which move them on rear was out of phase so that's why you had no bass. The best option is to have a tool which you can check if your speakers are in phase or not

Thanks. But others have found out that actually Audi disabled low frequencies and they cand be even enabled with a change in codding. I have not done it yet, but it's on the list

Audi decided to take out low frequencies to prevent the doors from rattling. If you have a VCDS you can go to the Radio and change the Coding to "external AMP". This unlocks low frequencies.

@@SayHelloToTheRobots No if you change "Sound Profile" you change the EQ only. There is another setting that deactivates the internal amp, that is right. I have a VCDS and tested it myself. I changed the sound profile and it improved sound by a lot. Had to dampen the doors though. Sound is a lot better now.

my shop installed a dsp with 4 new speakers and 2 tweeters . the old speakers are all broken. however the old mid on the dash still connected i am still trying to remove the dash and disconnect the dash speakers. i control the speakers volume and delays using dsp and rew.

hello. not sure what yr your audi is but my a4 is a 09 and all 4 door speakers are 6.5 inch. I've removed my fact sub( which is 8") as it was worn out and went with a after market amp and 2 10" subs in a box. my biggest problem has been finding the speaker wiring colors for + and - for the front and rear just to be sure i have them in phase.

Do you know why in my Symphony 2 stereo i cannot hear any sound? Didplay turns on, volume seems to work according to display but cannot hear any sound, changed the amp in the boot and still the same. Radio has jammed cd error 3, could this be the reason?

Hello, love your videos!.. you are not pushing the front speakers with a amp.. If you amp the front they will move more and be MUCH louder! Those model speakers are designed to be mid to high mid range even though they will reach don to about 80hz

Hello I like your video. Some of us have noticed the upper volume max (34%) is perhaps not as loud as it could be and still have good sound reproduction. Could be. But for A4 B8 some have found a codding option to set the radio to "external amplification" and then you get full bass. Sadly I have not tried that codding, so I don't know what needs to be changed.

@@UltimateDIY I had two others here but I did not think I could afford them, one was the Autel mk808ts and the Ancel FX9000, the FX was in the right price category but the Foxwell they had added more features plus better updates. Will I use these scanners, not much, just here just in case. My wife is good at saving money, I'm really good at burning it but for tools. At least I can make some money with them if I need to. Most goes for upkeep of the home and auto's .

Salut! Am si eu o problema cu sistemul audio la un a4 allroad din 2010. Nu se mai transmite in boxe nici macar un sunet, ca si cum nu ar exista. Toate astea s au intamplat dupa ce am instalat un cui de remorcare, mai exact cand am legat priza de la cui la sistemul electric. Ce ar putea fi? Amplificatorul sau doar ceva din cabluri din cate am inteles..ma poti ajuta cu o schema electrica “stock” sau cu un sfat?

I also got the box system with less speakers on my A5. Got 2 front window 2 front door and 2 back door with tweeter i think. So change the box for a beter one is no problem?? For the car at all? And what better type of box you need for subwoofer ?

Best way is to check the part code on your unit and search on forums for what others were able to succesfully replace it with.

As far as I know, the 8 speaker version does not have a sub. The 9 speaker one does.

I have 6,5" focal in front, and i noticed distortion and poor quality. I have the concert head unit. Does the same problem apply to the concert aswell? My friend who has somewhat the same setup in another car gets much better quality.

I use an external amp as well, but the signal comes from the concert headunit, so it sound pretty bad..

I think there is a coding that you can do to get better sound. Basically you tell the head unit you have external amplification. Try to search for it on forums as I have not done it myself yet.

Just in case anyone didn't realise... Yes, you can connect - + to + - ... But what will happen is your audio will be out of phase. This is why it is very important you wire correctly. To make it simple, if it is in phase, all your speakers push on the beat together, if it's out of phase the i.e. left speaker pushes on the beat and right sucks on the beat... But now your children's ears will survive but your wife was in buying ear protection lol

The speakers are not the problem. The radio unit is set to not output low frequencies to the front speakers. Butz weirdly enough, it outputs them to the rear speakers, so I just swapped rear and front wires.

The B&O have a different impedance, so they will not work with your unit. You can check trough my "Car related" playlist and see what I upgraded the speakers to.

Moving a few wires between them is dodgy? You add your amp without modifications? If you make modifications, they are dodgy and others should not buy your car. Jocking, but I can't follow your logic here. I show in the video that the sound system was nerfed by Audi and anybody can make it sound better without spending a single cent. Of course you don't need to do this, if you can throw a few hundreads/thousands of $ in the mix. Also, it seems somebody found a codding that can do this modification without moving wires. A future video will show that.

I'm not sure why you buy Audi? They are horribly designed. Hate to say it but German automobiles should be well made but they are money pits. Buy Hyundai, KIA or and if you can afford it Toyota. I have to Hyundai Elantra's 2010, 2014, Ford Focus 2007 SES and now a 2021 KIA Seltos EX, not sure how the KIA will work out but I think it will be OK.

I was afraid to see your reply but after all the research German cars are a mess. Scotty Kilmer is a good one to watch on KZbin, extreme Toyota fan. Currently he like to give more advice then repair videos but he is right. My bother which is now much richer then myself, he had a used 1980 turbo Audi, it was a disaster but he believed in it, fixed the issues and sold it but then continued as he prospered to buy really nice news ones. They ended up being junk, he bought a Mercedes AMG and it had an issue with the front suspension that they were not able to solve. With all the money he threw at these cars I could have had 15 Chevy Impala's , it's decent car if you take care of it from new. All the automobiles I purchase from new but I kept them 10 years or more, Oldsmobile Starfire 1978, my fault, didn't like emission controls; disconnected the vacuum advance and the engine a 3.8L ran like junk, that was a nice car though, ended up dumping it for lack of knowledge , got my license at 15 with my fathers 1975 F250 pickup, we managed a stable at the time with 40 horses, 20 were rented out for rides the rest were rented spaces by individuals to ride on their own as they wanted to. 1980 Oldsmobile Cutlass with a 260CI, later I replaced it with a 350CI and added T tops, People say it is still driving today, it was black with a red pin stripe. Sold it for 2000$ over purchase. It blew the under rated 200 hyrdromatic transmission in the winter,two months after the purchase and was replaced by the dealer with 350 THM, Turbo Hydromatic is what they were called back then. Next.. Ordered a Pontiac 1985 Grand Am with everything but it did not come in as promised, in those days you ordered a car, if you wanted something more then the base model, it did not come in as it should have with the electronic dash so I was up-sold being young to the Pontiac 6000STE. It was an interesting car, fuel pump failed after 3 months of owning that one, past on to my sister, for the time it did have the electronic dash, it drove well but the engine was losing life at 120,000 miles. But my sister was good with it. 1994, I start working as a contractor for Hewlett Packard, I did so for 7 years, I got out because I was doing 24X7 service on servers and printers every 8 weeks at first and then it dwindled down to ever other week. I'm about having a life, ended up doing allot of things including ATM's and Xerox between yesterday and today in which I'm with hp once again for the last 5 years. But I did purchase the 1994 Ford Taurus LX Wagon, everyone thought I was crazy but I knew the job was going to be a good one; one that I had not had before. I was a computer geek coming from being a Typewriter tech for 15 years. Need an IBM model A through Selectric you know where to come for advice. Many others on top of that. Ran The Milwaukee BBS for 7 years... On to the 1994 Taurus, 3.8L drove like a dream, hp had company cars and at that time they were all the same the Taurus, I figured why not fit in, i purchased it but it was better then the company model. I saw one sales person upgrade as that is an option for an hp internal employee. I gave this car up to Kars for kids with some 290,000 miles, it was clean, the transmission was still OK but I started to see low oil pressure with the light flickering, could have been a bad sensor but it had done it work for me and now that organization could rebuild her for another person. She was 13, I know you say he.. Ford Focus 2007 SES, still have her today. they seemed to have solved all the issues the prior models had, the later models are worse or no better. 100% runner with 129K miles today. I treat her well with Royal Purple and synthetic tranny fluid every 6000 miles. Yes both transmission and oil every 6000 miles. The two Hyundai's Elantra 2010 and 2014, purchased new and runners, the 2010 is in my garage up on all fours right now for brake lines. One failed but I'm doing them all. That was my daughters car but is now mine to do what I like with it. She bought the 2021 KIA Seltos EX, I don't know why but she will not drive the thing. She asked if I wanted it and I said absolutely not you worked for it!!! She is afraid of damaging it. ;). The 2014 Elantra is also a runner, just had new tires installed yesterday, I see it riding like new my wife seems to care less about that stuff. I said enough but I though it might be interesting to hear someones story. 60 years worth or life story... As Paul Harvey would say; "Now you know the rest of the story" .. Gerald

But you get the car/woman you like or love no matter how many issues or shortcomings she has.
