I can only imagine how good that sounds in person. Beautiful work.

Man be glad that you had this system built over an extended time. I can tell you that tuning and system building can be done a lot more precisely when you have time to listen and experiment. 2 years into my car and I am still making significant adjustments. It is very complex and over time you will notice subtle things. This song or that song doesn't sound quite right. Then you make adjustments and what you changed changes something else. Eventually you come out of it with an understanding of the adjustments as a whole and how they relate to each other. I'm glad that I put in the work to learn how to tune my system myself. Sure someone more experienced could nail it down much much faster. But just the fact that I have the time to really sit down and listen in my car every day. The ability to put in 100s even 1000+ of hours if you count all listening becomes a significant advantage. Also the human perception of sound can adjust itself to what you are used to. Give yourself some time to take a break, listen on different systems, even just don't listen for a little while and then listen again. It might sound totally different.

that system sounds insaaaaane yo!

I'm not really in to SQ, car audio, but really prefer the lowest distortion I can get, I like to hear all the mids, highs, woofers, and subwoofers, before buying, I don't know how to explain it, but I know what I like when I hear it! Ppl around here, will have 1000's of watts on a sub system and keep the factory headunit and speakers, that's insane to me, maybe keeping the head unit, but 99.9% of factory speakers are crap! They sound OK at very low volume, but soon as it starts to sound good it craps out! There is just a certain volume where things come alive! I like to have atleast 75-150 watts rms x 4 at least, about 100 x 6 is good, with around 900w rms, on a sub channel, in a daily driver!

Hei Peter...have you ever concidered using Morel drivers??? Ultimo Titanium subwoofers ect ect???
@pssound97495 жыл бұрын
Apotecha909 If someone was bringing any!? 😃 Morel is not well marketed and distributed in UK, so it’s not really my first choice of brands, but yes, i know their speakers are well regarded! 👌

Hi peter can u give more details on the sq final at Birmingham this month location and times , are u still involved with a meet at Guildford ..?
@pssound97495 жыл бұрын
John 21st Saturday is at Midbass Distribution, easy to find on google maps. 10:00-17:00 or something like that, open & free for public. Pure SQ day, no bass cars allowed to play. 22nd is 45mins away at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground, SPL & SQL, has entrance fee at gate. You can find the post for more details on my Fb page. 👌 I’m still involved with the “TA” meets. I think that will happen late November/ early December as per every year.

So a 3-way front stage with 2-way bass stage. What would be the advantage of only having the rear sub and upgrading to a 4 way front stage with a lower and upper mid and allowing the midbass drivers to handle the upper sub range? Also, is the reason for the front sub because the IB rear sub can't handle the upper sub-bass 40-60hz?
@pssound97493 жыл бұрын
It’s not that the rear sub can not handle it, but that the cabin doesn’t support that range. If you can have solid midbass upfront that can play down to 35-40Hz with authority, then you don’t need a front sub.
@Drunken_Hamster3 жыл бұрын
@@pssound9749 And the reason for the large rear IB sub is because the front one can't really play below 40-ish with authority, right? Is there any way to get a door midbass to replace front subs or would they have to be kicks? Better yet, what about small subs in the doors acting also as midbasses, and then a 3 way front stage with a lower mid, upper mid, and tweeter? Or is what you just said only in regards to this particular car? In any case, if you can't tell, I'm in the idea-sifting and information gathering stage of a future audio build and trying to figure out what to do and how. To get the point across even further; I don't even own the car I'm going to build in, yet. Nor am I 100% certain WHAT the car will be.

@@Drunken_Hamster have you seen PART 7.1-7.3 in SQ in car playlist?
@Drunken_Hamster3 жыл бұрын
@@pssound9749 Yeah. That's where I noted that all of this is a giant fuster-cluck. But probably still worth it, though. I generally still like asking things directly, though. Such as "If a midbass and a tweeter is the worst way to do a 2-way front stage, then what's the best way? Midbass and wideband? Midbass and midrange? Midrange and tweeter? Or Midbass and midrange coaxial?"

Sound Great, how did you get that sub to play below 30hz Peter?
@pssound97494 жыл бұрын
Reg Boss the rear sub plays the range under 30Hz. It’s an infinite baffle setup, so that’s where it excells down to single digit.
@jamest.50015 жыл бұрын
Are you using any membrane in the rear sub vent?

🔴 Can you demo some of Drake's music or at least the beats. 40 Noah does some crazy stuff with those beats and I always have to change my equalizer settings because of resonance. Your installs seem to always be spot on... it would be nice to hear how it's supposed to sound when it was mastered in the studio. ❗👌🏾
