Audi TT power steering bleeding

Replaced the pipes? flushed the fluid? sorted a leak? you'll need to remove the air from the system.

Which hydraulic oil did you use? Mine was red but it had the VW specs on it.

Not a lot of noise on my steering, only sometimes at the extremities, but still can be very stiff, is there a known issue that it might be please?

Hey mate, I have replaced the pump,, but issue seems to be still there. There is noise while turning and it is still hard. What else i notice is that when i turn the steering it causes the rpm needle to move and dim the lights while turning as well. Please advise.

Not that I've noticed on UK road cars, can't comment on hotter climates or track use

May I suggest you get yourself a phone mount with one of those bendy connectors and fix a crocodile clip to it. Then you can film and use both hands. But great video, thanks..

Hello. I have to replace my power steering pressure switch. The plastic part on the sensor broke off. I have the new one. Will I have to bleed the system when I swap the new part on?

Yeah there will be a small amount of air added into the system, so just follow the bleed procedure video

Question, the switchback pipe doesn't have any cooling, will this result in overheating?

1 litre, but if you want to flush old bad fluid I would say 2-3 litres to really clean it out

Hi, I changed my power steering pump and hoses. Refilled the system, started the car and went lock to lock. But it's still making noise how long will it take to bleed the system? Thanks keep up the good work

You need to wait for the air bubbles to settle, then go again. Guessing you didn’t manually bleed it like the video?

@@BWSTT no I just watched your video, had the parts changed yesterday. So if I leave it the air will come out by its self?

No, leaving it just means the air forms bigger bubbles, and is easier to bleed out. The second you send air bubbles through the pump it makes them tony and more spread out, so harder to remove

Update: IT WORKED!!! Stuck it on the 4 poster ramp, took the belt off, used a dewalt drill to spin the pump and it was perfect after THANK YOU!!!
