Audi TTS Ignition Service (APR Coil Packs)

In this video I try and fix a major issue with my mk3 Audi TTS its been run rough who I am hoping fitting some uprated APR coil packs and some NGK spark plugs will fix the problem.

Thanks for this Car Fella. The only video on the subject I could find that was specific to the TT/TTS and not just the TFSI on 'yet another Vee Dub'. Mind you, the planes flying overhead on their approach to Heathrow gave me some flashbacks from when I lived in SW London 😂😂😂

This is a great "how to" video. I've always wanted to know how to change coil packs on my TTS and after watching your video I now have the confidence to do it. Apart from the annoying stop/start button, two other things that annoy me on my TTS is the plastic trims on the sides of the front seats which can pull away from the seat and the folding down rear seat latch which gets very stiff to operate and can often detach completely from the operating control. Lubrication is probably the issue but how do you access the mechanism to lubricate it. A video on that would be great. Keep the videos coming.

Thank you for the support I am lucky my trims on my seats are fine at the moment but I have seen the issue your talking about as for the pulls I 100% agree with the my kids have pulled the handle out a few times 5 things I hate video will be coming soon

Had a similar issue with my Mk2 and replacing the coil/plug didn't cure it. I gave HHO a go (carbon cleaning, 3 stage) and not only it cured the cold rough idling, I made car drive so much better, better power delivery, throttle response, etc. You may want to think carbon when you get this sort of error.

thank you for the advice bro the ignition service and a battery charge seems to have fixed the issue. but I might give this a go anyway help give the engine a longer life

Nice video mate, glad your car is ok. Isn't it still under Warranty though. Also I'd go for the apr induction kit to match your coil packs plus its the same kind of money, think im going to go for apr this time on my tts

It is still under warranty but I wanted to upgrade these parts anyway so I thought y not any other issues and it’s going straight to Audi

Love your videos Tbh I'd take it back to Audi for my money back or some money off car has a stage 1 tune, tinted rear lights, and a salvage bonnet, God knows what else. If you try sell it back to Audi they'd tell you no it's been tuned.

Hello bro’ ! I think you had troubles with yr new ignition coils because you OIL top of yr coils (and top of spark plugs bu result), this oil is a isolant oil, not good at all. When u replace coils with APR, no problems and the car don’t need time to learn. Coils Apr are naturally lubrifiate, do not lubrifiate, or need special electric conductor oil. Now u know from Where came yr problem ;)

Tip for the correct terminology from a mechanic, what you refer to as a bolt is a nut, you removed the nut to remove the earth wire. You removed the nut from the stud, not a rod.
