It really is that simple. I do it every single day. The new Audi A5 Quattro has a recall. You have to take the window out in order to replace the AC unit.

I have a question. The plastic bits that go beside the windscreen on either side … why might they be loose after a windscreen is fit? And is there supposed to be a slight gap at the very top? 😅

They take the SIDE MOLDINGS off to make it easier to fit a cold knife or extractor through it, besides removing them the only way to get that windshield out would be to just destroy your moldings or whatever is connected to your windshield, the headliner and dash are easy to damage as well so look for that stuff after having a windshield replaced

Coldknife on the top of windshield? The line is to small it don’t fit how ya cut ?
