Great Review ...... I have a very old beige-colored 103. I've been told that having it refurbished (Soundsmith) and using the Nusicraft cases would be spectacular. Your assessment has given me hope that this very old 103 will have a new and improved life. Thanks again!

Youre probably talking about the DL103S? like mine. I'm a little desapointed of the low end, i become from the Koetsu black gold line. I douth the Musikraft will ad the missing low end of the 103 S. In my book, I think an anna ML is a better choice than a 103R with the Musikraft. all the way doesn't make sense.

I've also been told I speak too slowly and need to pick up the pace, lest I put everyone to sleep 😅. Thanks for compliment.

When you added the gel to the dual, did you re-balance the arm? Thanks for the video. I have a stock Denon 103R and am considering such a mod.

I rebalanced to 2.07 gm with the gel added. For the video, the tonearm would have run lighter without the gel.

A lack of dynamism in your speaking pattern negatively affects the watchability of your video. The word monotonous comes to mind. In addition, for the amount of information that one gleans from your video, it would have been effective to edit it down to about 8 minutes. Other than that, this was an okay effort in describing your take on the AMK DL-103.

Thanks for feedback. Maybe I'll try a speech processor.

It’s not a big deal. You do you. It’s a phono cart review. Sigh

@@dougg1075 I am doing me. And as far as I know, the universe is a concoction of my own reality. I steer the course of events and have primary control of all that happens. In fact, your reply is one I manifested out of a subconscious desire for critique. In doing so, you have served a purpose and I appreciate your efforts.

Isn’t vinyl great for getting lost in the weeds, CD and Streaming just don’t give the ability to play around like this. Been into audio since the 80’s, back in the day I had a Grace F9e mounted on a Rega RB300, I had over tighten the head shell and it started to collapse the plastic body so I had one of the Machinist and my work machine a new body out of aluminum. My God not only did it look great but it sounded better as well. Very cool company’s are offering these options. I enjoyed your video, I’m sure it took lots of time to put it together. 👏🙏🫡

Thanks for sharing. I'm amazed the Denon DL103, designed over 50 yrs ago can sound as good as modern cartridges. I have additional wood inserts for the Musikraft shell that might subtly change the sound character but have not undertaken this.
