Go back and watch MISA’s picking hand during her first solo segment. She’s hybrid picking like a country guitarist with the pick hitting the lower strings and she plucks upwards with her ring finger. Such a tiny detail amongst the entire performance? Plenty of love to go around. But that tiny move is one she’s developed as her career has matured. And of all the bassists I know and all the moves I know, she’s the first I’ve noticed that hybrid picks a bass regularly. She inspires 🤘🏽

Guys I am 55, this is the best band I have ever seen.I still love my classics, but the songwriting... How does someone write songs in so many different styles and still have catchy choruses that have me bobbing my head to it. I have over 100 recommendations for you , but if you start with "Don't You Tell Me" from Yokohama , you won't hear me complain.

I just got the DVD of this show and let me tell you, the stage, big screen, and light show were all next level. Top tier. It was a beautifully filmed concert as well and, of course, the maids absolutely killed it. 😁🥰

Usually Miku is the lyricist, but Saiki did write this one. She said she especially liked the way "I Hat You" felt in English. If you like the Guitar Bass Call & Response "Battle" check out 'Don't You Tell ME' LIVE. The orignal was pulled from KZbin ahead of a DVD release and is now only on the Chinese site Bilibili, which can be a bit dodgy to pull a decent video from. But they brought it back for this same show, only instead of down front, it's up in the back behind the drums.

Do you need to look further to realize you just heard the best band on the planet? Great Vocals, drumming and MISA-Kanami going back and forth like no other. I think the subject of this ‘hate’ was a husband of Saiki’s friend who cheated on her. She just put herself in her friend’s place and wrote what she would feel. YIKES!!! Don’t get on Saiki’s bad side. I LOVE Band Maid.

The "ten minutes of limp gymnastics" line gets to the guys every time. Girls hardly even notice but the guys all jump back, squeeze their legs together, and instinctively put a palm down to protect the crotch! Ahh ha ha! It cracks me up! With storm clouds on the screen behind her! Best scene of the concert, though, was in "Onset" when MISA went around the walkway until she found her mom at the rail and played her solo in front of her. Her mom was going berserk behind her! It was awesome!

There's rock music and there's rock entertainment and there's BAND-MAID And BAND-MAID, these Rock Goddesses are in a league of their own and all their years of slugging it out playing across the world gives us these amazing women who absolutely command the stage (eg those gorgeous rock stances and moves) but they look as comfortable as if they were having a cup of tea at home. This concert was the final show of their 10th anniversary tour which was over 70 shows over multiple countries. This particular show was over 3 hours long and they played 33 songs. This song was number 28 in the set, and they were still playing like women possessed.

I'm going to recommend a 2 song video, Manners, BLACK HOLE. During the Covid shutdowns Band-Maid streamed 5 concerts to their fans, 6 if we include the 12/25/21 acoustic concert. These 2 songs were from the 5/10/21 "Day of Maid" stream. The reason there are 2 songs is that there was a government program during the lockdowns to subsidize videos but they had to be over 6 minutes long so they put 2 songs together in one video. There is another video like it, Dice, Different. Manners is a very groovy type song. In BLACK HOLE Band-Maid threw a saddle on old Chaos and took him for a Sunday ride. I think you'll like them both.

I grew up on rock from the 1970s to present. I love this band. I truly appreciate their song writing, musicianship, and singing. They have it all. Misa is my favorite current active bass player. Among the great bass players in rock, Misa deserves to be in the top tier in my opinion. One other thing--I have seen them live four times and they are stunningly beautiful in person. Musically for me. that is not important. But, as a man, I must admit, they are gorgeous. They also love their fans, and love each other. No egos, which I respect. I hope for another ten years of Band Maid!

I think this group is currently the best rock group. The bass and lead guitar are the best, as you can tell right away. Please also notice the greatness of the drums. Please also notice the wonderful harmony between the main vocalist and side guitarist. What's most amazing is that the main guitarist has composed over 130 songs, and the side guitarists have written most of the lyrics. There is no bad work among them. BAND-MAID has a wide variety of songs that you can really enjoy.

[EDIT 2024-03-19 [Great reaction guys and Saiki wrote the lyrics, there was a lot of cheating occurring during covid lock down in the press at this time and Saiki was pissed. The singer LISA (a friend of Akane) was also affected by this as her husband was caught cheating and created a big scandal.
