Eventually, I timed it so he passed and I left a minute later. He was turning back to go past again when he spotted me. He immediately did a u-turn to chase me. I lost him in a maze of back streets. Some police departments only require 6 months of training...while almost all Attorneys who PRACTICE Law require 6-8 years on average and the passing of the Bar Exam. Seriously need to require a bachelors degree at least and be taught the law not just given a gun and badge after barely what would pass for general information of the law (ESPECIALLY considering it's taught not from a full court and legal perspective but from perspective of a system used to getting away with violating the law) and with basically only 1/16 of the time. Some require 2 years (Associates) but even that shouldn't be enough to carry a weapon on duty and use it in such ambiguous or clearly not dangerous situations and have almost no repercussions most of the time. A Bachelor's Degree should be bare minimum to carry while on duty (being on duty employers can designate whether you're allowed to carry a gun while punched in and representing them). Tazers should me more than enough to defend themselves the majority of the time, since there are way too many wrongful deaths or escalated situations BECAUSE of the officers and them having a Firearm on them. It's too easy for them to use that as a go to automatically and that's what usually happens because of that, it's a VERY dangerous crux to depend on and assume as your automatic go to when you just feel scared (justified or not) but have no evidence or clear reason to be fearful or even draw your weapon, and survival instinct kicks in and outweighing the law for you at that time. Officers shouldn't be taught to fear Citizens or see them as inherently dangerous from minor normal things, and they shouldn't be forced to adopt the "Us vs Them" mentality.

May we politely suggest the following de-escalation for remedy? THE TRUST IS COLLAPSED....in other words, your company is no longer granting them any more credit. If the policeman is not lawfully investigating the crime on behalf of the male/female victim and is entering YOUR company jurisdiction without you summonsing them, then would it not be advisable to be politely placing YOUR public-servants/trustees under your notification that your company is charging $707 per hour/part-there-of for YOUR company time and also $717 for YOUR company performance?....and that any further communicating (verbal) and/ or corresponding (written) with your company, is with them accepting the terms & conditions of the commercial contract IN THE PRIVATE (the cop and their CHIEF and their POLICE UNION is now with PERSONAL liability.... because Notice-to-Agent-is-Notice-to-Principal....and also through JOINDER....and they also lose their qualified immunity) This way, you are NOT resisting/refusing to obey/comply with their orders/demands/policy /questions, but instead, you are now willing to perform WITH THE CONDITION that payment is with your company immediately, because you have NO CONFIDENCE with them administrating YOUR company trust! THE PUBLIC TRUST IS COLLAPSED...Why is YOUR company issuing them extra credit! Are YOU not the executor and the beneficiary of YOUR trust?...making them the trustees, whom are with their fiduciary obligation and duty-of-care to be NOT causing you injury nor damage nor loss nor harm. Is THEIR job YOUR job? Is THEIR company policy YOUR company policy? not unless and until they are PAYING for your company time & performance THE CONSTRUCTIVE TRUST IS COLLAPSED...YOUR company is no longer performing free-of-charge! You may be willing to pursue the matter through the small-claims-court and/or through arbitration which is held in-the-private because PUBLIC court is only for the PUBLIC servant. YOUR TRUST FUND IS NOW WITH RESTORATION....YOUR company is now making money from every encounter with YOUR public-servants because the days of doing something with your trustees for free are over. PS-Be the BUSINESS man with the public-servants.....NOT the victim. Let your recording be proof for YOU at court of the commercial contract in-the-private.
