I had a beautiful 2001 Jaguar XJ VDP that made the world melt away every time I got behind the wheel. I would drive my friend to his chemo appointments and one time after a rough session while we were driving home he was very quiet when he simply whispered "I love this car, I feel like a king". Watching some of these high end reviews remind me of that. I miss that car. I miss my friend.

Sir William Lyons made Jaguar unique for half a century, the only manufacturer to combine design, engineering, racing, sedans & sports cars to such a high level, even Enzo Ferrari called E-Type most beautiful car ever made & it was street version of race car. Then Ford ruined them. Went to owners meeting, leather, wood & picnic tables.

You have to remember that prior to there 1904 meeting at the Midland Hotel in Manchester , Henry Royce was already making high quality motors, dynamos and over head cranes in his premises in Hulme Manchester.
