Hey North Star... Mud writing at 3:30 is highlight-reel worthy as an illustration of letting the inner child out to play. I suspect you did your share of mud writing as a kid as I did. Keep letting that child out to play all he wants. It's a good way to stay young.

How fun to meet Old Man on the CDT! I also met him on the AT in 2022. Then I saw him again at trail days last year. 😃

Hey North Star...Your tears of joy and enthusiasm at the sight of the CDT sign in the previous video (at three minutes, fifty-nine seconds) and in this one at (0:42) and might cause some non-hikers to ask, "Why?" Maybe it's because you've learned, as we all do, that the beckoning of a new trail is yet once more an opportunity to flee the restraints of society and all its clutter of "progress" and reenter the world of nature where you feel your neurons being turned on again for the first time in a long time, and where you can feel free and alive, human and humbled, where you know there awaits the opportunity to be a child again and rediscover something at forty that you loved at five. That sign is a humbling reminder that perhaps no other event of life will fill you with as much pride, choke you with as much emotion and define more clearly who you are that a long-distance thru hike. Yeah, let the tears flow girl, for with each tear is the precious memory that upon every trail you've hiked you lost a lot of who you were and found a lot of who you are. Home is where the heart is, they say. I just think that sign reminds you of that.

Love it!!!! I camped at the same spot in 2021. Even set my tent up in that same exact spot. Top of Georgia Pass then here. Drank my coffee sitting on that bench.

Beautiful area and views ❤ The weather there is a little unpredictable. At 45° with the wind at high altitudes would be kinda cold. Hopefully you have clothing to keep you warm. I'd love to visit that area someday. Thanks for sharing your journey. Happy Trails! Be careful stay safe and enjoy your Hike 🚶 🏕 🍳 🔥 😊 🙏

Fun fact: If you were to go south out of Breckenridge up to Hoosier Pass, the mountain on the west side of the pass is North Star Mountain, elevation 13,614 feet.
