I just saw Hadelich in Seattle on Friday, playing Prokofiev. I was astounded by the emotional impact of his playing. Technique is something every super talented musician will master, but this wallop of power and emotion, that's an immense privilege to witness. I'm going back Monday to see him play Dvorak. Gotta get it while I have the chance ;-)

@misquared14216 жыл бұрын
( 6:05 and 8:22 ) that middle flute player looks to happy to be playing his flute and i smiled when i saw him playing. a lot of the music itself is joyous but as much as i like the violinist, he is very intense(thats a good thing) and the flute player is just so enjoyable because he's enjoying himself. i go from tensely and quickly moving my body along with the violinist to loosely smily.

@stringisking I agree--this guy is unbelievable. I studied this concerto for a little while and it's hard! The orchestral breaks are short and the violinist is playing loud or fast almost all of the time. Mr. Hadelich's fast and spot-on octaves in the coda are breathtaking.
I love the sound of your violin. Really beautiful great sound, brilliant!!
@HiFiClassical12 жыл бұрын
I agree. Both the Jansen and the Hadelich recordings are top-notch. The distinction is that the Hadelich take is almost intellectual and theoretical, well executed nonetheless but the Jansen recording has a tempered passionate edge, an almost aggressive tone.
