Our interaction with the technological world today is changing rapidly. We are no longer limited by screens or even reality as we knew it. David Rapien walks us through the history and differences of Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality and looks towards the future options of these technologies in life, business and education. David Rapien enjoys being a husband, father, entrepreneur, and Assistant Professor - Educator at UC's Lindner College of Business. As the Undergraduate Program Director for Information Systems, he explores strange new technologies, seeks out new innovations and ways to learn, and boldly teaches students business solutions they have never considered before. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

This technology does make sense more now after the pandemic. Who doesn't want to interact with colleges in a virtual office. Students are struglling in designing subject and should be given this kind of learning even after the pandemic.

So many great ideas. But price of hololens or any other VR device with interactivity support is a big dampner. Also, beyond a certain time, the wearable becomes uncomfortable too.

Can you please help me? I'm Mechanical Engineering Student. I'm doing a project on 'Data Visualization using Augmented reality'. I would like if someone guides me and show a basic structure of this can be made workable. Like a basic outline which I can start working out. This video explain it. But still a basic understanding (from step1 to step last) would really be helpful. Thank you.

How was this applied to virtual learning in 2020 during lockdowns? Did teachers adopt? Did students request?
