Fun Arizona monsoon chase on August 17th around Interstate 8 up to the Wintersburg area early in the morning of the next day! Started off with the chance of a dust storm, but that quickly dwindled to a fantastic bolt chase in the desert, lasting til like 2am!

Thank you for your superlative photography. Between you and Storm Runner Media I've come to see how beautiful the SW is. Not too many tornadoes but that's ok. It's the storm structure that I love the most.

Mike you strike it!! I've noticed here in Albuquerque nm, when the rain starts the lightning stops, it stays on the peripheral of the storms but over the other side of Sandia Mt, they get the goods. We haven't had a really good lightning storm here since we've moved here in 2016, we watch it 360 around us but it just doesn't happen on us in Rio Rancho, a burb of Albuquerque. I am a storm chaser from Germany and have caught everything this year except a tornado and night lightning. Especially the lightning at night I would love to have on my camera but the thunderstorms don't want to. This Thursday and Friday are still 2 maybe ''good'' thunderstorms , let's see what happens. You have in the U.S. really lucky while you can see everywhere far we have here in Germany forever looking for a place where we have wide view😂

I'm also a storm chaser from Slovenia. This year (2023) I caught many storms, except tornado/waterspout and big hail.

We got hit hard with this storm here in the OV, micro burst with many trees and roof tiles blown away.

what's up with the frame rate here? did KZbin just Destry it on its re-encode or something...mm maybe ill try to watch again on my workstation when I get home from work...
