"Whisper your grief Scream your sorrow Proclaim your love Just don't call me your hero" Got that tatted on my right shoulder in memory of a friend I lost to suicide. Thank you ABR. This song helped me cope through that because it's every word I wish I could have said to him in that moment.

I love ABR not for the sound, but the message they send through their music. They evidently want you to know that they are Christian, but the lyrics are universal and are there for you to interpret the lyrics however you want. Love it.

Constellations opened my mind, my heart...and gave me the strenght to survive into the middle of the night. Rescue and restore set my heart on fire and introduced me to the kingdom of heaven. That album is the fucking true face of hope, faith and love mixed toghether in a music concentrate. It's a key to the skies. Constellations saved me when I was on the ground, R&R held out his hand to me to lift me up. I love these guys...so much. I wish them the most sincere and authentic of graces.

They are all just so good! I like how the 3 lyric videos go together to tell a story! I think most of us have experienced (in some way or another) what the guy in the video(s) experienced & we can relate to those feelings very strongly. It is truly a blessing that ABR is able to humbly share their wonderful music with the world! I would say they are effectively teaching us about God's love, wisdom, and understanding which is the essential key to understanding life!

This song hit me as like people coming up to Jake/the whole band telling them stories of how their music got them past hard times. The line: "Just don't call me your hero" says they're humble, and in the end it was the said person that got themselves through it. We have hope.

Alright, I have seen this person, Genocidal Rebirth, trying to call this band "scene" and practically implying that the people of this band don't know how to "properly" play their instruments. And to that I say..... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. And Genocidal Rebirth, try making an actually articulate argument about why this band "sucks" without insulting me and calling me emo.

To that I would say not only can they play their instruments well, but they can put a song together tactfully and tastefully. In a way that every instrument has its place, and with a melody AND awesome breakdowns. That's one thing I hate about most metal these days, No Melody and Distasteful. Not only those aforementioned attributes, but they connect with their fans in a way most bands cannot, on a more intimate level. Like this song for instance, summed up they are saying: "We are very happy our music has helped you, we are here to help as much as possible. It's time for you to take the reigns now, and face the situation." I can't remember any band, especially metal, ever having helped me through a situation, like August Burns Red has.

Jordan Ownby Well put, personally, R&R is my absolute favorite ABR album, simply because I feel like it best suits all of your mentioned reasons and more. This album is quite emotional, no two songs sound the same, all the while being incredibly heavy and beautiful.

Rock on, ABR. You deserve every single penny you've earned.

my favorite ABR song yet, ive listened to it everyday since it came out. to me, its a deeper, more mature version of ABR. its instrumentally very creative, the breakdowns are used tastefully, and the lyrics and vocal delivery are executed with tons of heart and passion. their other albums are all amazing, but i have a feeling this is gonna be the ABR album that i always wanted to hear from them.

As a musician I try to learn as much as possible about creating good music and I just want to say: Pop music is trash, but there are talentless artists in every genre. Being metal or one specific genre doesn't save something from being garbage.

It's 2013, you are going to your local venue to see ABR.... your best friends are with you, your girl is with you. The pit opens up, your friends go crazy and you put your arms around your love so she can see the pit and stage so she doesn't get hurt. Your faces glowing from the neon on the stage, chanting lyrics you live by. Life was good.

This is one of the best lyric videos I've seen in a while, it really captures the feel of the song. It's probably because this video has the capacity to pull you into it, it's not just words flashing by on the screen. The animations also helps to progress the story, so it's not just something to watch in the background. Then again, it could also be because stick figures with hollow eyes have a tendency to be disturbing. xDDD Just my 2 cents, ABR is outstanding! \m/
