Joe Willard Signing a record label is half the marketing, plus they handle most of the work regarding merchandise, PR, social media, album and song arrangements, etc. etc. Don't hate on record labels, most of them are led by regular people like you and me. Sure, some are corrupt but a lot of institutions/organizations are. It's unavoidable.

Seeing them in Seattle was such a mind blowing experience. When Matty said "how many of you are long time fans?!", everyone cheered, then this hit and everyone around me was just blinded. It was obvious they were there for the release of Misery, but I welcomed it and had a blast rocking out with strangers who didn't know this song or anything from their earlier years.
