Absolutely loved this video, so "simple" and yet it takes years of experience to create with such ease. So much knowledge shared!

I find with spiral I end up moving things around so much at the end that i end up trying to make it look like the bouquets built on a x axis because that shape is my favorite ! It's hard when you keep the perfect spiral to have a more wide bouquet than round and it's hard to have a back! I'll give it another go! Lol

I felt the same way at first, but after I practiced a few times I felt I had way more control because the bouquet was more stable. I would just say give it a few more tries....try building a bouquet at rapid speed, then adjusting the heights quickly in the mirror. This is what sold me. I would whip one up really quickly and it would be so close to what I wanted my final outcome to be, then I would just tweak it per usual. When I do the x-axis, it can take double the time if I have some awkward pieces in there. I still go back and forth between all methods, but I have really grown to love spiral. In the end, you have to pick what works best for YOU because there's no wrong answer. Check out @theflowercoach her name is Amy, too, and she's the one who convinced me to try it again! XOXOX, Amy

How do you finish your stems? Do you leave them raw or do you add ribbon? Sorry if this repetitive, I didn’t see any photos on your page. Thank you
@FlowerMoxie Жыл бұрын
That's completely up to you! It's sometimes easier to leave the stems open at the bottom and only add ribbon to the upper handle of the bouquet so that they flowers are drinking the entire time up until the wedding. However, if you'd like ribbon to cover the entire handle of the bouquet, you'll want to use hardier stems like roses and carnations that can hold up out of water for extended periods of time. We would recommend wrapping the stems on the day of the wedding to ensure they're in water for as long as possible!
