Have to disagree. The original version of this song is a corny, dated party track, and I can't imagine many people view them as some musical artistic geniuses like you seem to. There's a reason why this song appears on many "Worst Songs of ___" lists

Same here 25-35 I had a nightclub with live music and this was on the jukebox. The 80s where the best, we were in our prime. I feel fortunate I lived thru it and had more fun than a human should be allowed !❤😊❤

Just stumbled across this revised orchestral version recorded nearly 30 years later. So surprised and Jack Hues and Nick Feldman's voices have not changed all that much. Jack has to sing so high late in the song and he still hits the notes like it is the 1980s. They just took phenomenal care of their voices. They did have backup voices on the chorus however. Love this version!
