God is so good! I literally was feeling myself falling back into depression and self-hate yesterday (oct 25). Immediately last night, I knelt at the foot of my Crucifix and prayed a binding prayer over depression and self hate. And today this shows up on my home feed. Not to mention the Steubenville conference Chris hosted this past July is what got me out of depression and anxiety. I'm sitting in shock and wonder right now!

Best video ever seen on depression years was Franciscan University Presents a Catholic Guide to Depression and Dr Scott Hahn and the panel spoke deeply on a heavy cross. Lots of excellent information is provided in the discussion. God knows where you are right now and He's with you the Whole Way Home 👍🙏. We can do this 🙏

Wow! What a video!!! I'm a psychiatric nurse and I've spent 40 hours per week for 32 years caring for the depressed and anxious. Our inner voice can be our worst enemy. If only people would turn to God and allow themselves to be forgiven. Much misery is self-manufactured through sin. Those who are victims of abuse must not play the victim role and wallow in their misery, this allows them to justify destructive thought patterns and behaviours. Confession is the most powerful form of psychotherapy on the planet. The holy rosary is like a forcefield, a suit of armour. God is love, beauty and truth. We must call on the precious blood and stay close to Mary. ❤️💙❤️

Thank you so much! I went down a rabbit hole listening to Catholic videos that so overwhelmed me with my sins that I felt I had no hope! There was no way out- no priest was going to be able to give me absolution - I was guilty of breaking every commandment being a terrible person etc. The negativity was oppressive! I know I am a sinner saved by the grace of God but I had lost all that listening to these videos. God did not come to condemn but to free us! There is hope ! We forget that ! Thank you for helping return my joy and peace that comes only from our gracious loving Father 🙏🏻Blessings 💙🌹

When you are done, trust in God's amazing mercy and walk in joy with frequent confession so the demons won't have a hold on your mind. You will know that you said I'm sorry and I am a work in progress. You are loved!

I had a very bad habit of picking skin. One day saw Jesus’ love for me. I thought of Jesus in his pain and carrying the cross and how his skin was torn and shredded. How I wish to care for his skin…. I would never pick at his skin…. I would want to comfort and treat Him. And I have started to care for my skin like it’s Jesus…. And I offer it to Him as I care for His skin.

"God wanted to make people breakfast." That may be my favorite God inspired quote right there. We tend to focus on walking on water and moving mountains. But God knows full well how to nourish us in all ways. As a former professional firefighter I can attest to cooking for large groups of people, I loved it! Feeding people is one of the most rewarding feelings ever. Thank you so much this whole talk was really incredible. I have struggled with self talk for a long time. But all things are possible through Jesus. Thank you.

Chris , I would love to hear you talk more about the perspective of faithful Catholics who struggle with these issues -separate from those who haven’t been told of God’s love for them. I think what you mentioned about your son was so powerful because many people who love God still struggle with knowing they are loved and their struggles aren’t necessarily a signal that they are broken . I know many young adults who struggle with feeling different, isolated, depressed and need to hear a message of hope.

Chris: I went to a cold Catholic Novus Ordo Church for 20 years after confession one day with a new priest who I never met before said to me that I had nothing good in me that there wasn’t anything in me that was any good. I was very upset and confused I went away and never went back to that church again my Son went to catechism from kindergarten through highschool still nobody ever smiled said hello or anything it was alienating and so when I was in the hospital I needed a priest to come but I didn’t even get a phone call nobody answered my requests I was ignored. Somehow I found a TLM and after that I realized that I was never in the right place to begin with and I will never set foot in a Novus Ordo again I am going where there is truly love and I’m so grateful only sometimes I keep hearing what that priest told me that I’m no good…nothing. Praying for him and hoping that he was wrong. Thank you for the prayer l’ll say it often. Please pray for me.
@squil35
@squil35 Жыл бұрын
How do you know if that priest wasn’t in a state of mortal sin?? If he was, your sacramental confession was efficacious in God’s eyes, but the words that came out of his own mouth would obviously reflect the state he was in. Someone in a state of mortal sin cannot say words of grace to you, although, as I said, it doesn’t take away God’s power of the sacrament. Imho TLM vs Novus Ordo has nothing to do with it, it’s just basic facts about sin and the fruits of it. Good thing you are praying for him!

Please do not despair. God loves you very much. You have to fight that voice, it is drowning out all other voices, tell those voices that you are a child of the King. Say that over and over again, as I have had to do for a long time. It is a war, and our souls are on line. Don't let the devil win - he is envious of your heritage. Fight him, resist him. Listen to Spiritual warfare conferences especially by Fr. Chad Ripperger, he helped a lot. God bless you.

I don't know where he gets his way of thinking. My husband, myself and my oldest son don't understand where he gets this from. We have supported him, helped him with academic studies, emotional support, counseling, you name it. He is a 31 year old man now! It breaks my heart. Satan has gotten to him, and I tell him to fight back. For some reason he can't forgive himself. Thank you for this session and the book. He saw a priest who performed a spiritual exorcism and he still continues.

"God doesn’t want you to constantly focus on what’s wrong with yourself. He wants you to love yourself ." All I've been doing is trying to find and root out all my faults, then offer up my sufferings in reparation. Therefore, in order to be worthy of Him, I have not been focusing on anything I can do correctly, but take to heart immolating myself like Christ on the cross. I'm too afraid to do any such thing as love myself as it would seem exceedingly awkward, as I cannot picture Blessed Mother being this way, but rather of being meek, humble and sacrificial putting others first.
