Monsters in the closet. Ghosts in the dark. Remember feeling afraid when you were little? Unfortunately, we don’t grow out of it. Now that we’re adults, we just have new things to be afraid of.
But how does that square with having faith in Jesus? After all, Jesus says, “Be not afraid.” Shouldn’t we live without fear of anything?

Praying Father Dolindo’s Surrender Novena, is extremely powerful in these times. The more we can fully completely surrender the more Jesus can perform miracles. He promises to take care of Everything! Praise God! ❤😮

Whenever I have fears with all that is happening in the world today, Jesus always reminds me of his answer to Pontius Pilate when told Jesus that he has power to kill him and Jesus replied, You have no power over me unless it is given to you by My Father! Brings me peace all the time.

Hello! I just wanted to say thank you for your posts! My husband and I are separated by thousands of miles at the moment (was LDR) and we bond by watching mostly 30 -minute Catholic videos during the weekends. God bless you and your work!

Thank you for addressing the topic of fear. I struggle often to recognize that fear is underlying 99% of the spiritual battles I face each day. Stay encouraged Chris! You bring tremendous riches to the kingdom of God 🙏🏻❤️✝️

Fear of the Lord is a very real fear of offending God 'because' you love Him and recognize His holiness, His absolute goodness.

In Revelation 1, St John, an apostle and closest friend to Jesus, FAINTED when the glorified Christ appeared to him. Jesus told him not to fear, and reassured him of Who he was. He didn’t say-John, you’re an apostle, you should never fear!! People are going overboard with guilting people for having fears. It’s part of life.

Perfect Love casts out all fear. While meditating on that Scripture once, I was led to a memory I hadn't thought of in many years. I recalled being a very young teen and "in love" with this kid from school. He and his friends had gone to the Drive-In (Yes, long, long ago. 😂) I couldn't go I guess but I don't remember why. I decided being away from him for one whole night was just unacceptable. So, I got dressed and started walking in the general direction of the Drive-in. Not knowing how long it would take to walk all that way, or how long I had before the movies would be over, I chose to cut through the woods to shave some time off my journey. The woods were thick and dark, more so because it had already been night for some time before I encountered them. I began to realize how small and alone I was. The area was marshy and my feet kept sinking into thick muddy glop with thorny vines spread out all over. The vines were catching my legs, threatening to trip me with every step. My imagination was starting to play making me wonder how anyone could find me if I were to fall and break my foot or leg. I wondered about who else might be traveling in those creepy woods. I kept moving hoping I was still going in the direction I believed the Drive-in was. It occurred to me that turning 180° and heading back home might be a more sensible plan. But, I wasn't willing to entertain that thought for more than a second. I (thought) I loved that guy. That emotion was so powerful I couldn't override it for something as trivial as safety. My feet pushed on. And, I arrived at my goal to the astonishment of everyone. I jumped the fence and had the greatest time. What occurred to me, what the Lord may have been showing me was how I had no fear that could redirect me from my goal. The love I felt was more powerful than any other feeling I may have had. I could still feel it even within the meditation. And I thought about the times we may be facing soon. I thought of a coming persecution. I felt afraid. That hit hard. I know I didn't really love that kid from school. But, at that moment I also knew my love for my Jesus wasn't what it should be. Wasn't what I thought it was. Until that moment I would have sworn on my life that I loved God more than myself. But, I had experienced what that looked like. I'm grateful God showed me this sad truth. My love is weak and imperfect. But, this awareness is also an opportunity. I have been begging God to fill my heart with all the love it is capable of for Him, and all my brothers and sisters. I'm so grateful for all God does for us. Especially the painful stuff. Something to think about. ❤

Thank you, Chris; you explained it well. It's okay to have Faith but still be afraid, for it happened to the apostle and many of us. The thing we have to do is pray and strengthen our Faith. It is Faith that the Mercy of God will operate. Remember, "THE BATTLE IS WITH THE LORD" That's why Lord Jesus assures us to have "FAITH IN GOD. or BELIEVE in the WORKS THAT HE DOES." If there is no answer to what we are asking. GOD said, "BE STILL KNOW THAT I AM GOD." That means God has something on his mind, a better way at the proper time according to his plan. Please read Bible in Romans 8:28-31 Let's pray in the spirit with the coming DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY! It's really Good to be in LOVE with JESUS and remember Lord Jesus, I TRUST IN YOU.!

Fear is part of the survival instinct. Fear levels vary depending of how serious we assess the threat to our life or lifestyle.

Why should I be made to outgrow using common sense when it comes to keeping myself safe? Like setting boundaries on the use of my own time instead of for example answering the door every single time anyone happens to be knocks on my door. Instead I can check my cell phone to see how a delivery to my home is going before answering that door.

What Whoopi says is not important. What the Cardinal of Washington D.C. says is! He is allowing Pelosi to receive Communion, while the San Francisco Cardinal is denying her to. How is that possible?!

I can vividly recall sensing an alligator under my bed. Turns out I was right. During my conversion, the Blessed Virgin gave me a job on Wall Street against all odds, but the Lord decided to make sure I wouldn't fall into my old sins so He introduced me to the demon which had been plaguing me all my life. From conception to the grave, we are never free from temptation. So, since the Lord also gave us Guardian Angels, WHY DO WE NOT AVAIL OURSELVES OF THEIR HELP?

Ezekiel Chapter 33 warns us to call out sinners lest we become guilty for their sin. We are told to call them out lest they die in their sin. If we fail to warn them we incur their sin guilt.
