Did a little digging, this story actually has a tiny tiny shred of reality. There was a couple is Dumasi who almost divorced over farting, albeit it wasn’t the wife’s first fart in front of her husband, it was an issue of constant farting. I think her name was Vida. That being said, no one named Tim who worked at the KZbin branch of google was fired for this reason per say. There was a guy named Tim Chevalier who was fired from Google somewhat publicly, but not due to flatulence prejudices as far as I know.

You can be fired in New Hampshire for any reason an employer wants or they don't have to even have a reason. You can be let go from a job, if you were employed here, today. The boss would tell you to pack your belongings and not come back anymore, and the boss doesn't have to tell you why they are letting you go. It's really a messed up thing to me.... Does anyone else live in a "Hire/Fire State"?? I grew up on the West Coast and have lived here since I was 17. So, I don't have a clue if any other State is like that? And, I doubt it can be done to Federal workers. That's my guess though.

Yeah, judges are supposed to be impartial. But the alimony isn't some kind of cruel punishment. It was literally half of everything Tim made. And the way alimony works is that it ends once the ex gets remarried or fully employed (she seems to implied not to be) It's just gross to see that August say "you literally took everything in the divorce" like it's her fault that her husband CHOSE to initiate the divorce. He doesn't say it but it's like a shred of antifeminist shit he probably unfortunately learned after too much exposure to only ever hearing about men in divorce proceedings, like there are single.women who lose precious years off their life after being told they can trust their partners to support for them, and then one day suddenly just left because they developed cancer.
