I threw some Gateron Smoothies in my M1 V3 and they're the creamiest sounding and smoothest switch I've ever used!

Really enjoying your videos! I'm brand new to the mechanical keyboard rabbit hole and have an Aula Ice vein on the way, thanks to one of your previous videos. Unfortunately, the Graywoods were out of stock, which seemed just a bit more ideal for gaming. Still, I'm excited about the keyboard as is, and in the future can dive into modding for that light touch with a deep thocky sound 😊

Bro i have hi75 with graywood v4, do you think i should get aula f75 with ice vein as my alternative keyboard? Are those keyboard is same sound? Or do you think it is waste of money? hehehe your videos make me want to purchase aula f75

Get the Aula f75 if you need wireless connectivity and you need the portability. Hi75 has great sound already :)

srsly for its price, it sounds soooo good
@bryanong7754Ай бұрын
I think the yellows are the loudest, followed by the v one…then rosewood and oil king are similar in term of loudness. In terms of pitch, the yellows and v ones have a higher pitch, followed by the rosewood, with the oil kings giving the lowest pitch (by a small margin). Then for smoothness… I think Oil kings are the smoothest stock, followed by rosewoods and v one, then yellows.

@mechwhisper OP does this hold true in person? I feel like I can never trust my ears on sound comparisons over video 🥲
@bryanong7754Ай бұрын
@@alisatang7122The milky yellow pros sound quieter in the video vs my real world experience. The other switches sounds really really close to in person sound, at least with my setup (a different keyboard, similar build, and almost identical sound dampeners). Before mechwhisper released this video, I was deep into research for a switch that I would like. I listened to many youtube videos, checked what's available locally, and ended with a shortlist of these 4 switches in this video. You are right that it's hard to tell the sound quality of these switches through a video, and so I got a 10pcs tester for each switch to find out which of these I might like best stock.

@@bryanong7754 thanks so much for the detailed response! I’m in pretty much the same boat that I ended up narrowing down my switch search to these 4 as well, so this is super helpful :)

@@bryanong7754another thank you for this comment! interesting and surprised to hear the yellow pros are louder and higher pitched than the rosewoods. this also seems to align with mikey type's creamiest switches video.

They all sound amazing, but everything sounds good on this board. lol. The Rosewoods sound like a mix between the yellows and the oils to me.

Bro, i was ready to buy your configuration with the yellow milky gateron but now I’m really not sure anymore. The yellow and black on this specific video sound really high picthed on spacebar and others big keycaps… And also did you lube the akko rose or they come factory lubed ? What do you think ? 😢
@MechWhisperАй бұрын
If you like deeper sounding spacebar, you can swap just that switch for a deeper sounding one. The rosewood comes factory lubed. The Gateron milky yellow pro is a great choice if you prefer low pitched creamy thocks.

Akko Rosewood with no tape mod is almost like a silent switch. How is this compared to the Vertex V1 in terms of loudness? Stock, not modded.
@coravoyxАй бұрын
V1s are quite a bit louder; Rosewoods are mushy and muted, noticeably deeper. I’ve experimented with them in two different boards with all, some, and no foam.
@gabruiz8456Ай бұрын
@@coravoyx Thanks for the reply. Would you know how vertex v1 sounds on a board like bridge75 or something similar ?
@coravoyxАй бұрын
@@gabruiz8456 tested them in the Rainy75, which is similar. Sounds great. Both are great options.
