F99 is a great keyboard and sounds great stock. Can easily be modified BUT something to note is that if you are attempting to put Gateron or realistically and MX style switches, it doesn't like to snap into place very easily. It seems that the Epomaker switches fit it perfectly for some reason. If you are looking to mod it, to pry it apart just takes a pry tool all around the case and can easily damage it if it is a metal or otherwise hard tool. Basically, if you want to do more than just swap out the switches or keycaps, there are other better options but this one isn't awful. Can't speak on longevity yet as I only recently modified one.

Just bought this per your recommendation! I ordered the black base but decided to exchange for the exact one you have. I just realized they all have different linear switches so hopefully I’ll like this white/blue ones as I really like the ones on black. I only use keyboards as is with no modifications and don’t bother with any software at all. This really fits all my needs and the bill and bought it for $67 bucks on amazon. It’s going to replace my Nuphy Air96 which I also bought following your recommendation. Great keyboard but I just learned after a year or so that I really just prefer normal profile instead of low profit keyboards. Thank you for all your professional and comprehensive reviews. It’s been helpful for a tech idiot like myself!

Hey @jldwg, I'm planning to buy the Pro version, how was the shine through keys? Is the lighting bright enough? I'd be using it in a not so well-lit area

I bought one as a gift for my sister in law who wants a keyboard with a numpad for her work. She actually wants to borrow one of my keyboards but all of them don't have numpads so she's reluctant to give those a try. Anyway, I was surprised at this one. There's no mod needed since the sound is already awesome as it is. She really loved it, and would probably try other switches as well. I bought hers for around $47.00 including shipping. I guess it's cheaper here in the Philippines compared to the US.

I just bought the black F99 with the Star Vector switches. These switches feel and behave like silent cherry reds, but because there is so much padding in this keyboard you have to press harder to make sure you activate the key. I feels really nice and creamy to type on (if that's your thing). I am use to typing on Cherry MX Reds, so you gotta remember to press a bit harder with this board. I use the Bluetooth and it's very responsive. I'm going swap out the switches eventually. I don't really like the F99, but for most I would recommend it. Overall it's really nice.

I bought this replacing my broken Corsair K95 Platinum and my god it is so GOOD, the keys feel so perfect and typing has never been so great, along with that gaming has been smooth as well. I am really happy about the build quality as well, it's strong and firm, glad that there is a NUMPAD because I need that for work. Amazing Keyboard, probably won't look for another keyboard unless this breaks down, in fact I might just get another F99 if something goes wrong here. Software is weak but the rest is amazing.

What would be a good option similar to the Bridge75 but with a numbpad (prefer 100%)? Can be more expensive than 99$. New to the world of keyboards and looking for a silent one, preferably without having to modify it myself. Mainly use it for work and simple gaming.

Love my F99, although it's not really mine, had my boss buy it for me for work. (Graywood v3 switches) After having a nob on my main keybaord, I actually consider it a Pro not having it, but that is mainly because the nob does nothing but take up space for me, as I use a USB DAC and adjusting the Windows volume does nothing.
@schwook72AUS13 күн бұрын
I have this exact keyboard and I love it. I use it for work where I do a LOT of typing. It feels good and it sounds exactly like how this video shows. The only thing I found surprising was that its very heavy but that could be normal for a mechanical keyboard I dont know - I havent had one before. My only complaint is why do they make ALL of these keyboards to look like 80s rejects. They could match with my old Commodore 64. I find it ugly having lived through the 80s the first time. But thats a personal taste thing. Id love someone to make some that are nice and modern looking but not necessarily costing $400+. I may change the keycaps on this at some point to something softer and rounder to make it look better.

No difference between Pro and Non Pro, those legends on the bottom I've seen complain about not being too bright. I found most people I ask don't like the 0 key on the numpad on these, they cringe just looking at them. Thoughts on the foam thickness inside of it? KeyC found on the F87 Pro that the silicone and foam layer above it was a lot thinner vs the F75. What other differences in feeling is there of the F99 vs Bridge75?

Aula f99 pro seems to have a knob, but I could only find a few sellers on aliexpress who had it and I don't believe out when I bought my f99. I got the black/green version with SWK blue whale switches. Sound amazing, switches have little wobble compared to akko milky yellow and greywood v4. Switches have a strong spring, nice for typing I guess but less so for gaming if you need to keep pushing down a button, so right now I prefer akko cream yellow for gaming a bit more. No scratch as far as I can tell. Got it with coupons on alie. I like thocky switches and play some shooters, any recommendations?
