Always good to step back and remember days of The Andy Griffith Show. That show depicted a simple life in a small fictional Appalachian town called Mayberry. Mount Airy, NC was Andy Griffith’s hometown. This community has embraced the legend of the television show and its star. The Mayberry Day’s festival is an excellent vacation experience. If you’re into that television series and you want to stop for a few days to step back into a more simple time, the Mayberry Days Festival is a destination for you. I appreciate this channel touching on the beautiful Mayberry Motor Inn and all these folks are doing to preserve a bit of the history involved with this legendary television show.

I stayed here in October. Its a quaint little place and the court yard is beautiful! The rooms are clean and look like they are from a guest room in Aunt Bea's house. I loved it!

I remember that Painting above the Fireplace, I believe. Also those Hats brought back memories of Aunt Bee and her Suiters, or Aunt Bee going to Church. This is such a NICE TRIBUTE TO SUCH A GREAT SHOW!!!!

I love that 1966 Ford F-100 "flare side" pickup. I always have thought the 1965-66 F-100s were the best looking trucks Ford ever built. They have Aunt Bee's Studebaker car at Denton Farm Park in Denton, N.C.
