When Judge Judy said "...They (the bank) don't care. They care about getting their money for the car" I felt that. Sad & sobering.
@nicolejohnson9244 Жыл бұрын
Duh it’s a bank. Why should they care. If you don’t pay for ur shit, tutu don’t get to keep it. If they “cared” and let ppl go, they’d never get their $ cause there’s more scumbags in this country than not now. That is what should be saddening and sobering. That we are lining in a welfare world where people are being raised and taught they don’t have to do anything but sit on their asses and so drugs and make babies cause everyone else will pay their way. The banks didn’t used to have so many rules and be so strict until people started being scumbags and no one would get their $. Put the blame where it’s due people!

Missing ONE payment can mess up your credit for years. Having one "30 days past due" will destroy your ability to get any type of credit at a decent rate for at least 7 years. She should have told her aunt immediately when she couldn't pay, her aunt could have paid and avoided the strikes to her credit. What a nightmare. When I was 19 I had a full time job earning very good wages for my age. I wanted a new car and asked my mom to co-sign, even though my credit was actually pretty good, banks were only offering outrageous interest rates because I’d never had a car loan. I was very responsible and had my own place, even paid my moms bills without her asking me to. She said no to the co-sign. I got a capital one blank check and the interest rate was 29%. I refinanced after a year and the interest rate dropped to 9%, I had a 5yr loan and paid it off after 3 years. I have never had a high interest rate on a car since then or been denied a car loan, my last 2 cars had 0.9% interest rates. I would never co-sign on anyone’s car loan, no one did it for me and I’m not doing it for anyone else.

You sound hurt, but you figured out a way to make it work. Maybe your mom had bad credit and knew she couldn’t cosign for you? I agree, it’s best not to co-sign any loan with anyone outside of your significant other or children. I wouldn’t co-sign anything I couldn’t pay off myself.

Because "they" don't want the hassle of repo'ing and having to take a loss on their money. They don't want that car, they only want their money back, with interest. Oooof I agree with JJ. It's silly to sign off on a loan for someone that has either no established credit or bad credit. If you don't have credit, there are things you can do to build it. In the mean time, save up hard cash and pay for a car like that.
@trekgirl65 Жыл бұрын
When a child is under the age of 25 years old, they need a co-signer for a bank loan. If you want to get a used car, you work and save for a used car. Young people do not have any credit in the first place.
@Kaboomboo Жыл бұрын
@@trekgirl65 I had credit when I was 19. I got a secured credit card from Wells Fargo by putting down $400 cash which became the credit limit and used that for small purchases. I used it like a real credit card for a year and then closed the account, got my $400 back, and opened a regular card through Chase. Young people can build credit. And even so, if she's not making enough to pay off her fees, then she shouldn't sign up for car payments. She should buy a car outright.
