@Aspiring Marauder It's not just that, but there has been no instance of the Fetts being described as Mandalorian in the new canon, and there have been reference books that establish that Jango's past is a mystery, with him only claiming to be from Concord Dawn, but his exact history is unknown, much to Jango's amusement. The Lucasfilm story group (such as Pablo Hidalgo and Matt Martin) has also maintained that Jango wasn't a Mandalorian, as per the view of George Lucas himself.
@mortman2004 жыл бұрын
Honestly whether or not the Fetts currently accept the Mandalorian Creed really doesn't matter. They never cared much even in the old canon. Jango had his faith in the Mandalorians burned out at Galidraan and Boba was a pretty terrible Mandalore who only took the job to be closer to his granddaughter and try to make up for a long and shitty life. It really doesn't mean much to either character when the stuff that defines them has little to do with Mandalorians beyond the armour and mashing two cool things together

Honestly I think it has more to do with the fact the galaxy in star wars isn't as tight knit/connected as people imagine. They play into it heavily in the new canon, like with Din not knowing wtf jedi or the force were.

Hey, sound like Western civilization...

That actually make sense to me. Even though it it's really futuristic, the Star Wars galaxy takes a lot of elements from the pre-modern world. Most of the average citizens have are poor have bad technology and no idea what's happening around them in the greater galaxy. It's like ancient Rome or Greece. Like the average Joe does't know how the famous generals are. I doubt that most people living at Alexander the Great's time would even know even know who he is. And even it they had heard of him, most still wouldn't know what he looked like. So I can personally buy that a lot of people didn't know who the Jedi were individually. The galaxy has over 1 trillion people living in it and only like 10,000 Jedi tops. Most people haven't met Jedi and some have never even heard of them. It's just not relevant for the average citizen to know anything about the Jedi, especially is you're on a planet that's not involved in the war like Tatooine. And this is without even considering how the Empire surely censored history erase all trace of the Jedi as you alluded to in your original comment. So it makes perfect sense to me how the average person doesn't believe in the Jedi, having only heard rumors about them at best.

I love Vader being a chatter box of historical accounts. It makes him seem more relatable, but in a sad way. The saber spinning is almost genius from a lore perspective, Yoda would still have crystal clear memory of how the younglings were taught, and Golden Age lightsaber training, plus Yoda is the most Lightsaber Spinny-Prone characters in the franchise, so seeing Luke vs Vader is like seeing Prequel trilogy Versus Original Trilogy, in a way that feels very organic. Lando setting up the meeting with Vader as some form of way to get a chance encounter with L3 is funny, but reminds me of how stupid that sub-plot is, and how sad it is.
