@@sarahwass6249 I know exactly how you feel, I've been there. Depression causes such shame, it's a vicious cycle. Not going to tell you to just ask for help, I know it's not that easy! But when one of my best friends was in a crippling depression, I felt so helpless. Nothing I did or said could help her. One day she finally let me in her house to clean up and it was such a gift - to me. I left her knowing she was in a safe and comfortable environment and I had helped her, in a small way. @jn89222 жыл бұрын
In South Africa we don't have a drain in the floor either but it's because we build a separate shower cubicle with glass doors, the drain is specifically for the shower and is built into the carbon fibre shower floor... If you notice this shower is just open plan with water falling on the floor directly so they need a drain. I have used dish soap in the bathroom because it really works well on tiles and the bath tub but I always add disinfectant or bleach. You don't need to use a lot so it's really not that soapy. You can use a little and it's still effective but doesn't create so much foam and it can easily be mopped up with a normal mop and bucket.

Some houses converted the WHOLE garage to living space, some converted HALF of the garage. EVERYONE has remodeled everything. But we had to clean our rooms and make our beds. Idk if it has to do with my being older now and seeing that it isn’t a chore but can be a game I play with my kids (when they were younger) when they do want to help. My 3 older boys are adults now and my youngest is 6 yrs old. He loves to help me cook and clean because he doesn’t look at it as a chore but a game we play. And yes, my mother and I was laughing and joking that one morning I went to clean her house, we were telling “dad jokes”. But now I love to clean. It can get overwhelming sometimes, but when I get started, I enjoy it. I have MS, among other health problems, but I love it. this is what I am currently facing, I shared a house with housemates, but the bedroom I have is mine only and, well, I feel shame cleaning my room and it looks worse than the one in this video (I have over 11 rubbish bags to get rid of)
@2genes5852 жыл бұрын
I know the feeling. Have thrown away big trash bags at night, hoping I wont meet neighbors in the elevator. And also tried to do it over many days (/nights) so if somebody sees me, they didnt see the whole amount..
@iamsofia37822 жыл бұрын
Speaking from experience, I think it's easier to take them out little by little. It didn't take one day for the trashes to pile up, so you don't have to take them all out in one day either.

If I was your neighbor I would think “wow. Proud of them for getting rid of all of that” lol do it!! Only crappy people will have a crappy response. It’s a reflection of them, not you.

I am so glad KZbin recommended your channel to me. I've suffered from depression and know the struggle. The kindness, caring and thoughtfulness you have for others is amazing. Also you make me want to go to Ikea. My husband and I are moving in two months and I will be using a lot of your cleaning tips and decorating ideas. 😊💖💖💖

I can't wait until I'm done with my finals so I can finally do the deep clean/ declutter/organizing I've been craving the past month. 😩 too much work to have time to clean, but only one paper and two tests left!

I just discovered this channel and now I cant wait till the weekend to try and deep clean my home. I have struggled a lot with this in my past but got much better over time - still, it could be much cleaner and Auri is really motivating.

This is great content to watch while assembeling ikea furniture in my new apartment. I love watching you clean and organize. And as a college student I can tell you we always need more cleaning advice! (Especially how to get a good cleaning routine). Btw I love how you don't exploit the people you are helping by sharing their reaction on camera, It makes your videos precious and authentic!

I'm so glad you turned in the cans. I've seen cleaning/ hoarding videos where the cleaners just throw them all out and it always bothers me especially because a lot of times the person with the dirty house could really really use the money and cans are usually piled together and easy to bag! Unfortunately where I live there isn't much recycling options but we always have kept cans since I was young.

My favorite trash can tip: Pour carpet powder into the bottom after you wash and dry it. It smells nice and absorbs the leaks to make it easier to clean next time.

I’m really inspired by your videos: I started using dish soap in my bathroom, because I finally understood which products to use for different kinds of stains and as a result enjoy cleaning even more than before! I never thought there was so much to learn about an effective way to clean… just used the products from the store without thinking much about it. Now I still have a plenty different detergents but at least I know what I really need. You are really an inspiration and your attitude to help without charging anything is phenomenal. God bless you.

This is amazing that you help people like this. I have depression (and others) and chronic physical conditions that prevent me from cleaning my home and myself properly. It can feel extremely overwhelming so you put it off then it gets worse so you’re more overwhelmed and the cycle repeats. I’ve been slowly working on things room by room and it honestly doesn’t look horrible anymore. I’m still working on the kitchen and spare room but it’s getting there! I’ve learned a lot watching your channel and I plan on implementing some of the tips you have given us very soon. You are an amazing woman with an amazing team. Thank you for what you do

This video reminded me a lot of how I used to live. Not completely hoarded but another year or two I probably would've been. I would average around £50 every time I got the energy to recycle cans. I got out of it by getting the right meds for my depression but that was luck so thank you so much for doing the work you do. And sharing it to let people know they're not alone ❤️

It really is amazing how strongly depression can affect your ability to take care of yourself. It can literally feel like a weight is pressing on you, trapping you to your bed (for me it’s my couch). It makes your whole body ache. And the worse the state of your home gets the even harder it is. It’s easier to just disassociate and ignore it all. Therapy and anti depressants can be so helpful. But also having someone help when things get too overwhelming.

I like the combination of cleaning and organizing too. This was such a great transformation and great tips too. So nice that you use the cash from the recycling to buy some essential items for her. I hope she gets a boost every time she opens her eyes in the morning to go to work. Nice job on the lighting and the cabinets from your team. The lights were really needed as were the cabinets.

I have been depressed since 7 and I am 26 now. Medication has not always worked, and I have lived in so much mess myself. But thankfully, growing up with depression has meant that I can manage my messes a bit better than others. my mom and dad taught me to be clean and So I live like a pig for 2 days, clean up, then try to maintain that. I also have other issues such as ADHD, anxiety, dislexia and some more.

You dont show and sell those people, and their emotions when they come back to their clean homes, only tell their story and simply help them and I think this is beautiful🥰 You also changed my View on cleaning. I was like: yeah, this is dirty, but this is old so that's how it looks like now.... No! Now I know how and I was able to clean so much stuff in my apartament so it looks brand new! You have a heart of gold, Auri! What a kindness you did for this girl with the extra steps taken to decorate as well as clean her home. It looks like you got into this home in time before it became super messy and dirty and overwhelming for everyone involved. Would love to see some organization in your videos as well as cleaning, and how you fold a microfiber towel. I want all your tips and tricks! I've purchased so many products from your Amazon links, and have a whole bunch of Scrub Daddy products where before watching your channel I had none. I have a floor squeegee now! In this video I saw their spray and dish soap, so now I have to get those, too! I really wish NordClean sold products in the U.S., that Candy hand soap looks lovely! P.S. I just love your fancy pink glitter cleaning fairy boots, they are adorable!
