Stunning performance. There are 3 versions of this song: acoustic, remix and album version. Every version is somehow different but all are great. And I think live version is my favorite. She is also always so expressive and from the very beginning (first albums) up to now she is able to take my whole attention. Aurora is an Art :).
@Tarkus_11 күн бұрын
It's tough to pick a favorite from the three, but I would probably agree that this live version is the best, because of the added visual performance element. If I was only listening, I might pick the remix version, but the album version is amazing too, so I don't know. 🤷♂

Throughout my time of being an Aurora fan, I have seen so many comments saying Aurora isn't "the strongest vocalist" because she doesn't belt like Ariana, or many western pop stars. I feel like Aurora continues to challenge what people think of her artistry and abilities. I hope she changes our perception of what modern music can be.

„... what music can be.“
@Oldperson-wt3ui10 күн бұрын
@@GhostlyEcheveria The magic of Aurora is that she doesn't need to belt, but she can belt it out of the park if she so chooses. Her voice, she really knows how to use for it for the best effect of the song/performance. Belting is overdone by most, IMO, it is the only weapon in their arsenal and Aurora, she packs much more than that.
@GhostlyEcheveria10 күн бұрын
@@Oldperson-wt3ui I completely agree! I'm not a fan of modern pop music, and I don't agree with the vocal standard it has created. You don't need to scream constantly, like Katy Perry and Demi Lovato to be a vocal powerhouse.

Sorry, but whenever I see the performance, I automatically think of Galadriel from Lord of the Rings. And when she pushes back her hair at 6:31, I almost expect to see the elf queen's pointy ears. I interpret this song as the earth speaking to humans. And our refusal to accept our connection to mother earth. Instead we align ourselves with "the devil" a.k.a. greed, consumerism, destruction" and give our "water" resources to these forces of evil. A soul with no king to me means you inhabit this human body, an earthly vessel but we are dead inside and not connected to the earth, like a headless chicken or a soul with no king. The final "nothing will ever change, no guilt, no shame" has kind of a sarcastic undertone - to mean that we will not change and reconnect to the true human spirit and mother earth unless we realise the guilt and shame of what we are doing and "call her name". I might be overthinking it 😅
