Just subscribed. I'm 78 and have never been so captivated by a performer. She's an empath, funny, quirky, loves nature, shuns glitz and glamor and is an all around beautiful soul. Reminds me of the flower children of my day. Saw her in concert this spring, absolutely amazing!

Aurora is the total package - singer, songwriter, musician, dancer, producer/arranger, choreographer, and an absolutely lovely human being (and she’s just 26 years old!). She will often perform her songs quite differently - sometimes with her band, other times stripped down to just her and one instrument, a cappella, with full orchestra, etc. - so it is definitely worth listening to different versions of the same song. Also, her videos are mini-masterpieces as well. A short list of original songs: Runaway - Nobel Peace Prize concert and her music video Through the Eyes of a Child - Nidarosdomen concert, my recommendation Live Stripped - VIVO UK Lift It Happened Quiet - Nidarosdomen concert, but I'd recommend the live at The Current version as well Churchyard - Live on KEXP Winter Bird - Nidarosdomen concert and her music video Murder Song 5,4,3,2,1 - Nobel Peace Prize Concert Lucky - Nidarosdomen concert Little Boy in the Grass - Nidarosdomen concert The Seed - Music Video, HAIK Concert The River - Music video, Live in Bergen 2020 Exist For Love - Music video, Daydreamer - Music video She also does some awesome covers: Life on Mars - David Bowie Believer - Imagine Dragons God is a Woman - Ariana Grande Across the Universe - John Lennon Teardrop - Massive Attack Rasputin - Boney M And of course there is her recently released album which is pure gold!

Aurora actually clears copyright strikes. She is aware that people love sharing her music and even watches some of the reaction channels. She's a very special artist with incredible integrity.

She's from Norway. Her Norwegian accent can give her English pronunciation an almost British sound, but her voice singing can come across as Irish-sounding. I initially thought she reminded me a bit of Dolores O'Riordan from the Cranberries. Now she just sounds like Aurora to me. Have fun diving into her music!

Welcome to the world of warriors and weirdos you have now hit Gold Dust with the Genius of Aurora forget your mainstream rubbish that churn out all the same lyrics and cliches that you’ve heard thousands of times before Aurora is in a class of her own head and shoulders above anyone else her songwriting ability is outstanding filled with lyrics that makes you think deeply about life and the world we live in,the song runaway is a song written by her at the age of 12 and her catalog of songs are amazing.but trust me the only way to hear Aurora is live seriously she is one of the best if not the best live performer I’ve ever seen any of her songs live especially from her live concert at the nidarosdomen cathedral will move emotions inside of you that you never thought you had.Aurora simply is the essence of what the art of music should be all about, only one word to describe her GENIUS ❤️

She writes/co-writes and co-produces all her music and related productions. She was 18 here and is now 26. She wrote this song at 11 years old. It was a song that Billie Eilish has mentioned in an interview that inspired her to make music. Just for some fun Aurora trivia.

Aurora wrote this song at a age of 11. And I will say she is and have "something" else as present in her voice, in her perfomences and in her work. Something that reaches directly to my inner beings heart and soul with peace, visdom and joy. At the age of 9 Aurora began working with a masterpiece called "Lucy" And here performed live in the nordic contries bigest cthedral: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d563mqSIZ8SJd9k

Fun facts about the Runaway Music Video: It was shot late autumn 2014 and winter 2014/2015. She was 18 at this time. She wrote Runaway at the age of 11-12 and finalized it at the age of 14 (for a school project, as she mentioned in an interview). The parts, where she wears the furry top are shot at the west coast of the Drange peninsula, less than a mile away from her parents house. The parts in the forest were shot in the same forest where she played as a kid, less than half a mile away from her parents house. The parts, in which she wears a thin white cardigan and with some trees in the near background and the island of Lysøya in the background, are shot actually in the backyard of her parents house in Drange, Norway.

This time line shows how talented she is: Age 6: Started to follow dance lessons Age 6: Started to compose melodies Age 9: Started writing lyrics in her second language English Age 14: Her family discovered that she wrote her own songs Age 16: Recorded one song ("Puppet") as a gift to her parents Age 16: Performed a self written song ("I Had A Dream") at a school assembly Age 16: Gave up dancing (and her dream of becoming a professional dancer) to focus on singing Age 17: Released her first song "Awakening" Age 18: Released her first EP "Running With The Wolves" Age 19: Released her first full album "All My Demons Greeting Me As A Friend" Age 19/20/21: Performed hundreds of live shows during her world tour Age 22: Released her second EP "Infections Of A Different Kind (step 1)" Age 22 (just before her 23rd birthday): Released her second full album "A Different Kind Of Human (step 2)" Age 24: Her song "Runaway" (released in 2015) has gone viral on TikTok, hence turning Runaway into a world wide hit with over 1 million streams daily on Spotify and KZbin Age 25: Released her third full album "The Gods We Can Touch" Age 26 (today): Features as main vocalist on the musical score of the new BBC documentary series "Frozen Planet II"

Aurora was 18 in this video in 2015. She is a Norwegian singer, songerwriter and producer, and she already has 3 albums and 2 EPs out, and yes she writes all her own songs. She is incredible to watch live, her voice is just a good in a live performance, and she really feels the music. This Runaway video is special: Katy Perry praised 18 year old Aurora on Twitter and linked to this video 5 days after it was released. Billie Eilish said in interviews that this video inspired her to pursue her music career (Billie was 13 when it came out). I will recommend this pure a cappella version of her song "Through The Eyes of a Child" from 2016: youtu . be / CFzExUN1N8I

Nice reaction 🤗 Aurora wrote this song when she was only 11 years old, and at that age she didn’t quite understand the meaning of the song. As she grew older she knew that home meant home to her parents 💕 Her live performance of this song at the Nobel Peace Prize concert is much better in my opinion. She’s so captivating😍😍 Could you please react to: “Through the eyes of a child” live from Nidarosdomen (cathedral in Norway) 2017

I would suggest to review her work chronologically. She is an artist true to her herself so her sound has changed over the years. Her early work is often described as sad (she says so herself) with emotionally disturbing subject matter. Her perspective has progressed from being dark and introverted, to fierce and empowered, and now just a confident and self-aware artist. She writes all her own lyrics and melodies but has worked with many great musicians, producers and band members that has resulted in her recorded material. But you will receive many comments about reacting to her amazing live performances which are generally acoustic with only a guitar and/or keyboards as an accompaniment. Her music has changed over the years and like any artist, some fans don’t want your music to change. But she has never compromised her music for her fans, or mainstream success. She just wants to make music that has meaning for her and that can hopefully inspire humanity to care more for each other and Mother Earth. Enjoy the journey.

Aurora's live versions are all so much better. The Nobel Peace Prize Concert, or Live At Nidarosdomen versions of this track are really good. The studio version of this track does it no justice IMHO. Tiny bit of info, she was I believe 19 in this video. Also, she's Norwegian and she also writes all of her own lyrics and controls every step of production. If you're taking suggestions, I recommend Animal (Live at The Current) or Heathens (Vevo Live). kzbin.info/www/bejne/q6Wug2qqdtJjnsk -Heathens kzbin.info/www/bejne/qmTXcmCPaqlroLc -Animal (Live at The Current) (this is also the very 1st track I ever heard by Aurora)

She did write the song at a very early age. Her original material is exceptional and her covers are worth checking out. Her live performances as well as Vevo performances are a good starting point, Haik Documentary, Live at Nidarosdomen and live KEXP performances are all good watches. My favorite early release has to be "Winterbird"

Thanks for reacting to Aurora. I really don't understand why people keep suggesting this official clip for first reactions to Aurora. It is beautiful yes. But it doesn't do her justice. It's overproduced, she looks dressed by someone who has no idea who she is. Everything after that is better. And if you want the "runaway" blast then check out runaway from the nobel 2015. It's been recommended already. 😁 If you proceed to explore her and her music you will find yourself just impressed over and over again. As for recommendations for your next stops: As I said "Runaway" live at the noble peace price concert or "it happened quite" live at the current. But honestly, I could think of 20 more from the top of my head. ^^

I love her music. You were pretty close about country (as you said Norway). This particular song she wrote when was 11 before she even become artist (by a chance - it is also pretty interesting story). This is probably most listened song, but too be honest she has only great or at last very very good songs. It means you have potentially a lot of her songs to enjoy (if she 'click' in you too) :) She is unique natural artist and interesting personality. At first I usually recommend 'classic' for me (but new staff is also great), but you will get probably many recommendations and all of this will be good :): - 'Lucky' live from Nidarosdomen - 'All Is Soft inside' or 'Churchyard' from KEXP 2018 - 'It Happened Quiet' live in the Current - 'Murder Song' live from Nobel Prize Concert - Running with the Wolves - I am torn apart here between official video which is interesting and between other live arrangements. This one f,e, is one of them and different from original: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eKqQpHWnZ9qeaMU - Seed official video - for sure you will also on start get recommendations of "Through the eyes of a child" live from Nidarosgomen which I also love but for unknown reason prefer to name these up :). I would say they are only starters as there are so many other great performances or songs :). But this list looks already too long even if I would like to add other songs hehe.

You can spend a lot of time with her. Different performances of the same song can be very different and her different albums do not sound alike (by design from what I've heard about her. An interesting thing she said was that for her albums, she leaves one song off the album with the intention that all these songs will be put on an album to be released after her death (not to imply she will die any time soon!). Also, not necessarily for reaction, look at her interviews and video "letters" to her fans such as this one kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2qngp5phr-Bnqc
