Hi there Bob. Bad news you got for us this time😟 thank God that the cancer is not very malicious!👍❤️ You are of course correct that Aurora was quite young here. This particular song has to be counted as one of her breakthrough songs. I really have to say that I am always amazed to see how many things you are able to pick up on the fly. Great job😉 Now let's just cross our fingers that this cancer saga will be just that. I'm not a very religious person but I may send a prayer your way tonight before I go to bed. Take care, Bob❤️🇸🇯🇺🇸

Hey, thanks so much! I can't tell you how much I appreciate that. The good news is that the surgery went perfectly and everything is gone. Now it's just a case of letting things heal a bit. Since people probably don't want to see me with some huge bandage on my face, it's a good thing I pre-made five or six videos prior to surgery. LOL. I should be back up in recording new reactions in a week or two. At least that's the plan! Again, thanks for the kind words.

Song is awesome, her voice is beautiful.......and the visuals.....she is a master of visuals most of her music videos have stunning videos it's amazing how she gets the right people to make her ideas become images check WinterBird, The River, I went Too Far, The Seed and a bunch of other.....but on the live gigs besides the pristine sound, there's also a great craftmanship in her stage nvisuals the scenery, the wardrobe and lights, she's so freaking good, and being so young and such a special person since her childhood I wonder how far well she go and make us go with her, man this young lady simply blows my mind and she's been doing this since 2016

Great song but you should see it live ... with dancers! :- AURORA - Running With The Wolves @ La Cigale, Paris : kzbin.info/www/bejne/nqTSeICCjKaMgNU Actually, it's on her current set-list so you may well see it live (but probably without the dancers). Hang around after the show, she usually comes out to talk and have photos with the 'Warriors & Weirdos' ...

She had a traumatic event at a funeral as a child and developed a "stammer or stutter" as a result. After that she learned sign language as a result which as Anon said may have a whole lot to do with her hand and arm movements when expressing herself. She is a remarkable human being!!!....unfortunately the end of the video was cut off....very powerful

Great comments in respect to health Bob, I hope you don't have any issues with your current diagnosis. For years, probably ten plus, I had a regular, persistent cough and my doctors couldn't work out the cause. One day it just stopped. A few months later, after a check up (this was about 11 years ago), I had to start taking medication for high blood pressure (a result partly of trying to teach teenagers, eventually for 33 years). A week later the cough came back. This time it is a side effect of the blood pressure medication, so relief from the cough for a few months out of 20 plus years. You stopped the video just short of the end where Aurora dives into the water, giving a fitting end to the run to freedom. Your comments about Aurora's gestures are spot on. Listening to her sing is fantastic but watching her adds so many more layers. You really need to plan to watch the whole HAIK documentary/concert, as you the get the double pleasure of Aurora's quirky personality and superb performance . It is just over an hour total and one of the best ways to spend that much time. Most of those who have done it as a reaction say the time flies and they didn't want it to end. It is very different to the Nidarosdomen concert not only in venue and tone but in the songs presented.

Hi. I've had the surgery and everything appears to have gone as good as it could possibly have gone. Now I just need a little time to heal so I can be beautiful in front of the camera again. LOL. Others have told me that I cut the video too short. Well, at least it's not the first time that I've messed up. I'll have to make it a habit to play to the very end of the video because apparently I missed something on the James Brown video that I reacted to. You think I would have learned! Thanks for the comments on the blood pressure medicine. I'll definitely keep that in mind should this cough persist. Take care.

Nice reaction 👍 And I really hope you’ll get well soon ❤️ About the song: Aurora wrote this song during a blood moon, presumably on April 14-15, 2014, It is about freedom and joining nature again, getting away from phones, radio and all we keep around us. In an interview with The 405, she said: "I just imagined the moon turning all the people around the world into wild animals, running away from all the rules, all the materialism, and technology. Just being a part of nature again, running free." "The song is about having the animal instinct inside you come to life. Running with them, joining them - the instinct taking over, giving you freedom and making you forget about your human self and all things we humans keep around us in the modern society. I think humans need to let go a bit more, shake their bodies more often, like the animals do.. It's a beautiful thing really. Sometimes when you look at the world, and you see what we've done to it, the way many of us hurt the world we live in, innocent animals, even our own kind! And that kind of makes you want to follow the wolves instead. At least for one night.” Could you please react to Auroras cover of “Believer” by Imagine Dragons live at P3 Christine Live “Teardrop” by Massive Attack live at Like A Version

This is honestly the one song I would recommend the studio version over a live. The studio version is perfection, and the video is great. In this video you can see that her restraints are wires. It's about breaking free from all of the unnatural ways we spend our time and returning to nature.

Another cool reaction. Your interpretation is very good I think (which is impressive after first listen). Of course everyone can have a own different interpretation but IMHO it is about breaking free from chains of technology and civilization strings/rules and spending more time among nature and be just free and peaceful. Of course wolves symbolizing freedom and city symbolizing technology/civilization and also some destruction to nature (wasteland). Also I like how calm she is on the end when she is in forest opposite to previous situation. Also her "dancing" movements looks like animal (wolf) try to break free and she sings "wolves" like it would be wolf howling. Ps. Also I think you are right about "she wants ppl to find own interpretation" - she said it in interviews and her lyrics are often poetic and/or a little enigmatic and open for interpretation.

First of all, I'm very happy for you that the cancer was caught early and it didn't become serious. And thank you so much for the advice for everyone else! Getting checked for skin cancer once a year is so simple, yet so important. If you catch it early enough, it is one of the most harmless cancers you can get, but if you wait too long and it spreads, it becomes one of the deadliest cancers of all and almost impossible to control. About the live versions of the song: There are several live versions that are worth recommending. Which one suits you depends on your preferences. If you prefer a professional recording in studio quality and a very quiet studio-like ambience, I would recommend "AURORA Running With The Wolves - Pandora Sessions". It's the vocally perfect Aurora you've heard in other performances and the song here is beautifully sung quietly while she's accompanied only by an acoustic guitar. If sound quality is not the most important thing, but you want to see AURORA's unlimited physical energy at a performance, I recommend you "AURORA - Running With The Wolves @ La Cigale, Paris, France [30th october 2018]". Here it was unfortunately filmed only by a fan in the audience (but for that in very good quality and very close to the stage). It shows you a different Aurora than you've seen in the other live performances so far. :) Personally, I would say that the second version is more fitting to the message of the song. :) Last but not least: I would really really love a reaction to "Lucky (live at Nidarosdomen)" and "Through The Eyes Of A Child (live at Nidarosdomen)". The whole concert in this cathedral is absolutely beautiful and mesmerizing, but these two songs are on another level. I'm 100% sure that you will like both of them.

Also.....I really hope you react to Aurora's newest latest song, The Woman I Am! :) The best version is the performance she did this year at Gullruten, a Norwegian awards show. The song is astonishingly good...perfect pop music with a ton of heart. And the stage set for that performance is gorgeous! Very Baz Luhrmann's 90s Romeo + Juliet...during the death scene in the church. Just beautiful....

Sir, you are spot on! She _is_ running from the "concrete jungle." And I'm glad your heart beats for wolves. Maybe you would like reacting to another song about Wolves. Again, music from Scandinavia by the sister duo First Aid Kit: "Wolf" (Official Music Video). In the comments below the music video (written by 2208woytec) you can read that it is a ballad extracted from "The secret book of the Great Dark Forest". You can find the book at the Nordic Museum in Djurgården and believe to been written in the mid 16th century.

Hi Bob, I hope you survived the procedure well and are on the mend. There are two very unusual concerts by AURORA. One is in the Cathedral Nidarosdomen and the other in a forest where she played a lot as a child. The concert (HAIK) in the forest was organized by NRK TV. But it's not just a concert. They surprised AURORA with different things for a whole day. She was supposed to do a small concert (only 1 song) in front of two fans. Pure emotions, I can tell you that. Then a singer, Ane Brun, sang a song by AURORA just for her. Then another surprise and finally the concert in the forest (7 songs, approx. 40 minutes), which in itself is amazing, fantastic, enchanting... The most important thing about the documentary (38 minutes) are the interviews that are conducted in the car on the way. There you can learn a lot about AURORA. - AURORA HAIK Full Version - kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJDYiGBmfamKpcU - approx. 1h:16m Here is a snippet: -- Interviewer: Aurora, how would you describe your upbringing? -- AURORA: I grew up in a very free environment. I was given the freedom to be exactly what I wanted. When I brought home some fantasy friends, Mom and Dad covered them on the table. I got respect when I didn't want to celebrate my birthday. "OK, that's fine." No pressure to change me from home. No need for tags or diagnostic or... Just completely free. I didn't think much about what I was. Why I felt a little different. I didn't think much of it. It's strange when people have to think about something being wrong. -- Interviewer: When did you realize that others might see you as a little different? -- AURORA: I didn't think of it until that in 7th grade, maybe. Then it was something that we took such a Mensa (IQ) test. ..... Sorry, but you have to see the rest for yourself or make a reaction video about it. Just make 2 parts out of it: documentary and concert. I hope that I could make you curious. I'll just say this much, the documentary is way, way, way too short 😁 You will love both parts. Have a nice day, all the best and Greetings from Germany

I'm 39.....and I turn 40 this coming February. And yeah....I'm a bit freaked out. Time _really_ starts speeding up as you get older, huh? But.....you and this channel give me a good deal of hope. Because I think the thing I'm _most_ afraid of...is getting old in the sense of being clueless about NOW. Being stuck in the past and unable to appreciate, let alone understand, the modern world. I don't want to be unable to keep up with the moment. And I especially don't want to become one of those crotchety old people who think their ignorance is wisdom. That they've somehow figured it all out and have nothing to learn from young people. Anyway.....you clearly AREN'T like that. It's just nice to have role models, in a sense, for the sort of person I want to be at your age. And kudos to you for making the channel to help other people from your generation to understand and appreciate and learn from us younger people. :) Every generation has heaps to be learned from each other. It's not a one way street.

Sounds like you caught on pretty well with what the song was about. The wires are essentially tying us to modern society, technology, the internet, social media, unbridled energy use, cars, factories, etc; and we've all essentially become hardwired into all of the above and dependent. You can see in the video that she starts by trying to run away with the wires still attached, but she couldn't get very far. At about the half way part, she starts walking zombielike backwards to the city because while she's still attached she can't help herself. Maybe she's trying to represent it as an addiction. Then finally at a point she screams and starts to finally do the one thing that most of us are unwilling to do... rip the wires / links out and permanently disconnect. It's symbolic in that many of us want to get away from modern technology, but we're unwilling to go that extra necessary step and completely disconnect ourselves permanently. It would be like the difference from stepping away from Facebook for a few days before giving up and getting pulled back into it, and completely deleting our facebook accounts. The car, IMO, is societal pressure or maybe social media companies who acts almost as enforcers to keep us locked into modern technology. For example, getting away from facebook is extremely difficult because our entire social group is often using that platform to communicate and will pressure us to stay on the platform. When we finally decide to get away from it, the peer pressure pulls us back into it. Eventually, the only way to get away from it is to delete our accounts... which is like a major blow against those forces keeping us locked in. Hence the driver screams. In the end, she's a huge proponent of spending less time with modern technology, and spending more time in nature. She seems pretty convinced that it would be good for the world, good for human health, and it would help for humans' empathy for the planet.

Hi. About 95% of my videos get slapped with a copyright claim immediately. Of those, around 10% get fully or partially blocked. I just file disputes on each one immediately. About 80% just clear on their own in 30 days. Once in a while one will be released prior to that 30 days. Not that often though. Bottom line, wait 30 days and keep your fingers crossed.

Maybe someone else shared this, but this is (as far as I know) Aurora's first time on tv. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hWOkZYFogrSgg9k I remember seeing it and thinking: This is really a talented young lady!

Hi Hilde. I checked your link and I prefer not to listen to it right now, as this may be one I react to in the future. I have definitely bookmarked it though and will consider it for a future reaction. I really appreciate the recommendation. It makes my job a lot easier. LOL.

You cut away a few seconds short and missed what I think is the biggest message/symbolism to ponder . She slips into the water and disappears. Is she slipping away to safety? Are we going back to nature? Is she saying no matter how hard we try, we've already lost and there's no hope? Typical Aurora!
