Aurora's music is frequently inspired by nature. She told The Sun: "'Running With The Wolves' is about freedom and joining nature again, getting away from phones and radio and all the stuff we keep around us." Aurora wrote the song during the blood moon in 2014. She told The 405: "I just imagined the moon turning all the people around the world into wild animals, running away from all the rules, all the materialism and technology. Just being a part of nature again, running free."

I saw her in June. Absolutely fantastic performance. Even though she played some songs I don't " love" but do like and appreciate. After concert...pre encore...she came back out and simply sat down and talked , not to us, but with the audience. Made a mistake calling someone by wrong pronoun, apologized profusely and ask them what song they would like to hear..pick any. They requested...eyes of a child. You honestly could feel the emotion in the room, the crowd stayed silent and didn't sing along....finally. Would love to hear her perform.... Puppet Animal soul Home Across the universe In boxes All is soft inside Under the water Infections of a different kind. With her chatting between songs, it would be the best hour I could have,.

Yes. This song is so cool. And no matter if it is great official video or many of her live performances (with different arrangements/versions). And I think you are generally right about song meaning. Video helps with interpretation too. Wolf is a symbol of freedom (and wilderness). (Mega)City is a symbol of civilization, technology. Wasteland - symbol of what civilization do to nature. She want to break free from the chains of civilization/technology/maybe society to nature (I interpret it that we should make a balance of civilization and nature and not forget about nature). The ending images are also cool. There was so much movement (like trapped wolf) and scream, end then this images of nature and calmness on her face. Also love how she sing wolves like howling. Generally it is just a piece of art :). Ps. This guy in a car probably wants to bring her back to the city = maybe it is something what it is something that draws us to technology (like easier live, duties, habits etc).

I have comment you on earlier Aurora videos and they are always good. I have seen this video a lot and i love it especially her expressions and voice. I love too see reactors and when they are good i could get wetty on my cheek. You get me there today. Your spot on interpretation and expressions felt very honest. Thank you brother. I think it’s confirmed that you are one of Aurora’s Warriors and Weirdos - what she calls her fan base. If you haven’t already, there are 3 documentaries that are a must if you’re keen to know Aurora better. 1. Once Aurora 2. Nothing is Etermal 3. HAIK (Aurora) It gives you good insight into the artist, person and producer. She is tenacious in protecting her art and not being dictated to by the industry. So impressive for one so young. Fans will watch a full reaction to each with you for sure.

But she has some really great music videos like this one😍 Aurora was running away from the materialism, and the guy in the car was after her. But then she escaped and he was mad. Fun Fact: This song was used as the opening for the fourth and fifth seasons of WolfBlood. It’s also how I found out about Aurora. They stopped airing it in my country so one day on a whim I looked up the show again saw their were more episodes and when this song came on I had to find this artist! It’s sad WolfBlood got cancelled though. I was really looking forward for the big battle during the war arc.

Have you reacted to the music video for "the seed"? You should do that one if you haven't. As to the guy in the car I think it represents the patriarchy and big oil and their desperate need to keep everyone under control and tied into the system. He's rushing out to try and stop her before she can free her mind and escape. The "we're running out of time" line and "there's nowhere for you to hide" and the desolation outside the city all tie into the narrative of the system destroying the world.
