A lot of informations have been already given in these comments. So if you haven't done it yet, I will just recommend you to give a (lot of) try(es) to her live performances. You can find a lot of them here on youtube, they might well give you another perspective on them musically speaking, and on her as an awesome live performer. Any live sessions you can find, or concerts like the 2015 Peace Prize Concert, the Tiny Desk Concert, The live on the Honda Stage, the Nidarosdomen concert, well there are so so many of them... Aurora has a lot of variations in her live performances, but her talent is always sky high. She sometimes reinterprets completely her songs live, giving them different vibes , as she did, in a way, with Murder Song here. As you ranked "Black Water Lilies" number one, here are two live performances of this song: Aurora - Black Water Lilies (Live on the Honda Stage) AURORA - Black Water Lilies | SXSW 2016 It seems KZbin doesn't want to validate my links, so I give you only the titles to copy/paste and search them here, if you wish... Anyway, thanks for the interesting reaction, in an unusual format😉, to Aurora, this so creative and talented artist.🙂👍

I am going to do a video on her live performances most definitely and if I for some odd reason decide not to, I will most stream it live. But, thank you for all the recommendations for the live videos to watch and I will definitely put these in my notes somewhere.

It's certainly unlike most reaction videos I've ever seen. But all things considered, this was a thoroughly enjoyable video.

cool, you rated wisdom cries high! winterbird is about depression. a lot of people suffer of winter depression or depression at all. depression may lead into suicide. try the lyrics with this idea in mind and see if you catch up. btw: a lot of her songs are better live (like 'under the water').

Yes, Wisdom Cries is MY SONG and with Winterbird I had a feeling it was about that depression feeling with just the vibe of winter. But, yes I'm definitely planning on listening to some of her live performances.

Interesting reaction, though I love all the songs except Conqueror (I like when she strips it down and it’s only her and her piano😉 But I’m glad you’re honest👍 Aurora is bisexual 1. “Runaway.” She wrote this song when she was 11 years old, and at that age she didn’t quite understand the meaning of the song, but as she grew older she knew that home meant home to her parents💕 The song is about escape and "realizing you want to get home again." In a 2016 interview she stated "For me now, that song is about my actual home where my parents are." The music video has over 560 million views on KZbin, but her live performance at the Nobel peace prize concert 2015 is better👍 2. “Conqueror.” This song became everything Aurora hated about the music industry, and she was pushed to perform the song. She stopped performing the song, not quite sure which date, but probably around 2017. About 3 - 4 years ago she said she didn’t hate the song anymore. If you watch/or hopefully do a reaction to the documentary “Once Aurora” you’ll understand more💕 3. “Running with the wolves”. Aurora wrote this song during a blood moon, presumably on April 14 - 15 2014. She recorded various field recordings and used them in this song, such as sounds of a wooden stick on a fence, breathing and the sound of Aurora hugging a tree; "which had no sound, but it's on the album." "I just imagined the moon turning all the people around the world into wild animals, running away from all the rules, all the materialism, and technology. Just being a part of nature again, running free.” 4. “Lucky”. She wrote this when she was 9 years old😳 When asked in an interview by Bergensmagasinet if the line not everybody knows that I am lucky to be alive was inspired by a specific event she said: "It can be interpreted in many ways. I am hypersensitive and very sensitive to everything around me when it comes to sounds, lights and the way people speak [the tone]. It was difficult for me when I discovered that not all children are as well off as I am; I thought a lot about how sad it was, and that I'm just lucky to have been born right here. It feels so random, like a stroke of luck, like something I can easily lose. There is a lot in the world that you can feel threatened by, things that can make you think that I will not survive this." 5. “Winter Bird”. Aurora uses nature imagery throughout the song, such as the cry of a winter bird, to show how she needs the harshness of the natural world around her to drag her away from a dream world back to reality. She explained to The 405: "Sometimes you need to be reminded of how it was to feel alive. It's a tricky situation to find yourself in. When you've forgotten about your reasons to live." 6. “I went too far” (can’t believe you forgot this🙃) She wrote most of this song at the age of 9👍 Aurora explained to The 405: "It's a reminder of how important it is to not give yourself away for anyone else's love. Way too many people tend to stay in relationships where they go through verbal and physical abuse. It's a huge issue that needs awareness." She won the Norwegian grammy for the best music video 7. “Through the eyes of a child” This song speaks for itself, but… In an interview, she said: "Through the Eyes of a Child is one of the most important songs for me. It's about, the older you get, the more you see, and it's kind of like you miss the times when you thought everyone was nice, and that everything was nice, because it's hard to know all the darkness. Also we have lots of light, and I know that as well. But it's kind of like wanting to go back to the innocence, and see the world through the eyes of a child.” 8. “Warrior” Our anthem ❤️ The song is for AURORA fans (nicknamed warriors and weirdos). Asked if her fans had a nickname, she said to Music Norway in 2015: "Warriors! First I didn't really know what they meant about it, but then I was like well - we're all warriors, warriors of light. It's a nice thought to have. I was inspired to write a song about it." 9. “Murder Song (5,4,3,2,1)” This is about mercy killing “Her, she didn't want to be in this world anymore, and she knew that this man would do anything for her. She asks him to kill her and he said : 'Ok, I love you, I would do anything for you.' After he killed her, he became sad because she didn't move anymore and he didn't understand where she went. He didn't understand why she left and he start crying. And it is sad, because for the rest of his life, he will not understand and he will be sad." In another interview, she said: "First of all, I have a really vivid imagination. You know that these things may be happening to someone right now. It's kind of a terrifying thought. I just had to get that thought out of my head - and that's why I wrote this song. But the two characters are actually just made up in my head. I've written many songs about them - maybe I'll make a book with them." 10. “Home” The song deals with depression and how it can sometimes overcome us; how sometimes we need to numb ourselves in order to feel home. Aurora has said that it is about people who have ended up on the wrong track in life, and who survive by finding a form of security. It is about "finding a home among what you have, even if it's not much". The song rarely (if ever) appeared in live shows until 2019. Interviewed in 2016, Aurora was asked why some songs are rarely played live, she responded: "I need to distance myself from a few songs before I can play them in public. I don't play Home from my last album yet, because it makes me too sad. But I feel like I'll get there soon." 11. “Under the water” Aurora said to The 405: "I love to sing this song live. It reminds me of my roots. It's dark, a bit folky and it got tiny inspirations on percussion etc. from some Norwegians metal bands. I love heavy metal". To her, it is more cathartically emotional than 'emo': "I've always been very drawn to sadness and to nightmares and to scary stories or going out in the dark - I don't know why. There's something mystical about it - which is very exciting, isn't it?" 12. “Black water lilies” She said in an interview: "Black Water Lilies was a dream I had. The melody was playing in the background. And I was dreaming that there was a hand, and I grabbed it, and it took me underwater. And there was a river, under the water, running down. And I floated on the river, under the water, and I came to this magic place with lots of black water lilies - floating on the water - which was underneath the water. It was a very strange dream. When I woke up I ran straight to the piano and wrote the song." “Half the world away” is a cover Originally a song by Oasis “Nature boy” also a cover Originally a song by Nat King Cole “Wisdom cries” "It's about... Humans and the world. We have spent so many years, millions of years collecting wisdom and learning about each other, respect, knowledge and all of the things we should know. Then I feel like if Wisdom was a person, maybe, he/she'd look down upon us and see all the things we do towards the planet, the animals, the women, the men and the children... I think Wisdom would cry because we spend like a second tearing down what we have spent millions of years becoming, if that makes sense. And it's... sad." I really hope you’ll continue your Aurora journey, and “Infections of a different kind step 1” and “A different kind of human step 2” is quite different from her first album 😊
