Fun fact: Aurora calls her fans "warriors and wierdos". She aknowledges and celebrates differences among people (references wierdos as a positive word) and she speaks out her mind about important global matters, ( ref. warriors of love). In her song Queendom she starts with "The underdogs are my lions, the silent ones are my choir". Aurora is simply brilliant. Stay emotional ♥️

@@Luscent Such a great reaction and delightfully emotions. Interesting about what you were saying how people think you are too emotional. Aurora wrote a song called The River after hearing that 73% of suicides were by men. She figured it was because men are taught to hold in their emotions. The River id scout letting go of those emptions, let them flow. It is ok to cry. If you think this album is emotional, wait until you watch her live. You may not survive it but you will certainly enjoy it.

Aurora has said she wrote murder song after reading about a man who killed his wife who had a terminal illness, but she has also said that she wants people to connect to her lyrics in whatever way speaks to them and many people relate the song to having to euthanize their pets and how painful it is. Wonderful reaction, I look forward to see your reactions to step 1 and step 2 ❤ you really must watch her live too, it's a complete experience worth every moment!

You need to listen to her next two albums: Infections of a different kind (part 1) and Different kind of Human (part 2). She really matures as an artist and her production (which she does herself) is immaculate. The structures of her songs evolves to be more interesting and her lyrics are more profound. This is not surprising considering most of the songs on “all my demons greeting me as a friend” she wrote in her childhood from age 9 ( “lucky”) upwards. It was also her first time in studio so the production was more experimental than it was intentional as she was just discovering that element of song making.

Few little inside so you get to know her a bit better: she learn to play piano by herself when she was 6 and start composing, then add english lyrics when she was 9. she was playing only for herself, to escape in her own world. she publicly played at 14 for the 1st time at school, then some one put it on the net. a producer saw it and want to to signe her for an album, she refused! her mom told her that her music could help ppl so she decide to go for that only reson. you just listen to the result of that periode. she realy didn't like to do show, she was to nervous so to calm down she used to count Pi in her head (up to 200 decimal). It took her about 100 show to feel better about all that attention. You can find ''meaning'' for each song but she prefer not to tell so that the song brings you what you need. Murder song tho was a true story that she red in the newspaper about a man killing his wife cuz she was suffering to much from deadly deseas. She produce her album, design her close with her sister, (fashion deisgner) cut her hair by herself with a pizza cisors, still don't know to read music, refuse to have make up on (only her sister can touch her face to get some lttle blush on). she is a facinating human being. And her favorit music is heavy metal. So welcome to the famelly my friend ! (sorry for my english i'm a french canadien)

Allrighty, i am half way through now, after Through the eyes of a child. I totally agree with what you said there, beeing sensitive and emotional aware is not a bad thing, quite the opposite. Additionaly I am 43 now and am still keeping the child in me alive the best I can. I am still nerding out about my love for childish stuff like Avatar - The last Airbender, gaming, music. I talked about nightwish in my previous comment. I actually changed my mind about what songs to suggest to you, as I "got to know you a little more". I would now suggest Dead Boys Poem and Our decades in the sun. They will make you cry but as we established before, that is not a bad thing. I like that you are emotional and genuine. Gonna stick around and binge your previous vids.

It was so interesting reaction for a great artist 👌. Have you heard about the book called "Women Who Run With the Wolves" by Clarissa Pinkola Estes? I think the song was a reference to the themes of this book - it was about disconnecting from modern society and returning to the wild and nature... our own and of mother nature itself. BTW mighty be hard to believe but AURORA is way better live than her studio recordings... she does several songs several different ways which may also depend on her mood. They can all take on quite a different flavour depending on how she performs them. Sometimes quite still and chill. Other times wild and full complete with dance moves. SooOOOoooooo much Aurora for you to explore still. I highly recommend all her live performances!

She startet giving out music when she was 15-16, but she has written songs much longer.. in fact, no one in her family knew that she wrote music, or that she could sing. So one day her mother heard her, and she said that Aurora had to get the music out. In fact Aurora wasn’t that keen, but then she changed her mind. I don’t remember exactly, it’s so long ago😅 I love Aurora, and you should see when she sang in the Nobel price Consert in 2015, she was 18-19 years then😊

Sooo.. What a cool video! I love Aurora anda loved hearing your interpretation of her songs. She gave me chills and i have cried and felt identified with her music... She did experience the death of someone she loved.. A very good friend of hers.. And i think thats why she writes and feels how she does.. I adore her. She teaches us to be super vulnerable.. The most beautiful!

Her Step 1 and Step 2 albums are just wow. The growth from this album to those is AMAZING. Cant wait for you to listen to them!

i think you would really love the lyrics of "Why did you have to go?". It is a really moving song by Aurora. She wrote it after her friend died. It is really heartbreaking...

I highly recommend checking out a live performance of Murder song. Imo that version is much more emotional and captivating then the studio record.

I've always taken the we are home message as a criticism of the destruction of the planet and this idea of looking to other planets for expansion rather than protecting Earth and realising that it's our homeworld and should be more important to us than anything else.

I just laughed and cryed a lot with you throughout the whole video, and it was amazing, I felt very embraced when you talked about dealing with being an emotional person because I'm one as well and sometimes it's very hard to deal other people's expectations, isn't it? People should let us be crybabies and go on with their lives hahahah Much love from Brazil ♥

Ok and even more when I saw you say “come on get your shit together” I just said “Feel….” “Beacuse feeling even the sad feelings truly is important too it’s ok. So then after you said a reply to people commenting on your “sensitivity” I say it’s just your ability to let yourself “feel the world and universe and it’s feelings as a whole. Your awesome wow
