I have seen Aurora perform this live 3 times and each time I’ve been left speechless even though I know what’s coming,it’s like she has a lasso around your heart and your simply drawn into her mind and you are seeing what she is seeing seriously no other artist has ever done that to me,it’s why I’ve no hesitation in saying that Aurora is in a league of her own.you can understand why she calls her songs her little children the love she has for her music is as her mother said a medicine for everyone it’s incredible that at such a young age she can write lyrics as deep and meaningful the 3 songs you have reacted too.she wrote them in her teens actually Runaway she wrote at the age of 12 which is astonishing.but for me the song she wrote at the age of 9 called Lucky is a masterpiece her performance of this at the nidarosdomen cathedral is breathtakingly beautiful and it’s why for me Aurora is more than special she simply is a Genius.❤️

The song was written at age 18 from reading or hearing a news report. Yeah, during this period she would transport herself to the story's scene and take us along. You've already watched a song from the Nidarosdomen (Norwegian cathedral) concert in December 2017 when she was 21. I see you have the HAIK concert scheduled where Aurora was 23. Hello you two,, great reaction again. Thank you. She will pull you into every song and captivate you. I saw it. She caught you. This is probably the saddest love song I've ever heard. A man shoots his wife to end her suffering. Can love be bigger and more painful at the same time than in this story? AURORA manages to make this pain palpable with her voice and her movements. You have seen AURORA's eyes. She wasn't on stage. She was somewhere else. You saw how deeply she was thinking about these two people, that she sometimes shook herself uncontrollably. I believe that she is not conscious of her movements. She's so into the story in her head that she's doing the moves in the story. I heard that AURORA was horrified by these movements when she saw the recording of the performance. That means for me that she did it unconsciously. Her empathy must be beyond measure. She spreads all her feelings that she has in this moment in front of us and lets us look into her heart and soul. There is no other way I can explain that almost everyone who saw this performance was affected by this story. AURORA is more than a storyteller, more than a singer. AURORA is a true artist. This is from an interview with Aurora: "First of all, I have a really vivid imagination. You know that these things may be happening to someone right now. It's kind of a terrifying thought. I just had to get that thought out of my head - and that's why I wrote this song. But the two characters are actually just made up in my head. I've written many songs about them - maybe I'll make a book with them." And in another interview: It’s just fascinating that some people can have in them the desire to kill while some people cannot pick a flower without feeling bad. That's about this I wrote 'Murder Song'. How can a man kill someone he loves and it happens often in the world. But he doesn't really understand what he did, it's a very complicated story. Her, she didn't want to be in this world anymore, and she knew that this man would do anything for her. She asks him to kill her and he said: 'Ok, I love you, I would do anything for you.' After he killed her, he became sad because she didn't move anymore and he didn't understand where she went. He didn't understand why she left and he start crying. And it is sad, because for the rest of his life, he will not understand and he will be sad." ------------------ There are also two very sad songs by AURORA. - Why did you have to go - kzbin.info/www/bejne/aZ-QlYCul66kgKM She wrote it for a friend from school who died in a car accident when she was 18. She only sang the song at the funeral. But the sound was recorded and the girl's mother is said to have published it on KZbin. They have chosen good pictures and films for the video. AURORA didn't actually want to release it. I'm sure you've rarely heard anything so sad. - Little boy in the grass - kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z5zMh2pmabOXlas This is about the terrorist attack in Oslo and on the island of Utøya on July 22, 2011. An assassin killed 8 people in Oslo. Two hours later he shot 69 young people on the island. It was a Labor Party youth camp. It took 90 minutes. A friend of AURORA was among the victims. I assume that these early experiences characterised AURORA and contributed to the initially very sad songs. Have a nice day and Greetings from Germany

In an interview on Scalvian ( Scandinavian talk show ) she was asked what the difference is between studio time vs. live performances ... She said is totally different . Studio is the work . Nice reaction, y'all! Aurora is just on a completely 'nother level, yeah? SPEAKING OF "ANOTHER LEVEL," another very powerful, expressive, and unique artist who's working at a completely different level and who's been blowing up over much of this last year is a guy named REN. I don't know what you guys have been listening to recently outside of your reactions, so maybe you're already onto Ren (he's been all over the reaction channels for the past several months and his vids are getting millions and millions of views). If not, please, check out his song "HI REN." It's currently sitting at just over 10 million views (if that sort of thing enters into your decision making when picking songs to react to) and... well, I don't want to spoil anything but, like Aurora, Ren is one of those musicians whose songs transcend music and become full-on art. If you're a human, you will feel it. AND, also like Aurora in the video you just reacted to, Ren does it in a minimal way: just him, a guitar, and his super expressive, super present performance. Oh, and a lamp! But that's really just more for narrative flavor... So, yeah, if you haven't already discovered and listened to Ren on your own (I didn't see a reaction to him when I checked your video list), definitely do! I really think you'll be blown away in a similar way as you are with Aurora. AND GOOD NEWS! Ren loves music reactors! He actively encourages people to share and react to his videos, will never copyright claim or strike them in any way, and he's said straight-up that if KZbin ever hassles a music reactor about copyright for one of his videos, just appeal it and he'll make sure it gets unblocked. Oh, and last thing(s): (1) Here's a challenge for you: If you do end up reacting to it, try to define what genre "Hi Ren" would fall into. It's not as easy as it sounds. I'm still not sure if Ren is "outside the box" or if he's somehow inside ALL the boxes. Dude's a beast. And an artiste! (2) In the official video for "Hi Ren," he's actually performing it live. Ren is Welsh but spent quite a while busking in Brighton, honing those performing chops. So, unlike so many other artists who might've recorded a version in the studio and then lip-synced to the track for the music video, Ren is playing and singing live in the MV. And it's awesome. Anyway, again, great reaction, you guys! As always! Looking forward to the next one, whatever it may be...

It's bananas to me how self-actualized and confident and powerful and wise she is....at such a young age. She was only 19 here. 0_0 So what was _I_ doing at 19?? Well, it was 2003...so I was reading those dreadful Left Behind books, certain the world was gonna end any day, getting sucked into 9/11 "truther" conspiracies online, and convinced I understood reality...oblivious to my own ignorance and unearned confidence in my truly myopic beliefs. I grew and learned a lot over the next 20 years...became wiser, and in turn LESS confident that I had it all figured out. But when I see Aurora, and others like her, who are SO actualized and wise and aware at such a young age....it honestly baffles me. Like...how? I suppose some stellar combo of nature/nurture...? I will say, I'm like 12 years older than Aurora....but I legit look UP to her in a lot of ways. If I'm as wise and self-actualized when I'm 70, as she is now at 26, then I'll consider my life a total success. She's just....WAY ahead of most people.

I have two suggestions for you to react on. My favourite is Sia 'breathe me', and then especially the kcrw 2007 one. She wrote that when she was really depressed and wanted to commit suicide. Luckily a friend called her just at the right moment and talked her out of it. Second song is Tori Amos 'me and a gun'. It's about when Tori offerred a ride to a fan after a concert when she was about 21. He proceeded to rape her for hours and threatened to murder her. There are two versions of this song.. one is acapalla, and it's my suggestion to watch that first. It's at Montreux, and she got the crowd quiet and her point across. There is a version on you tube somewhere where she does this song with band, and it's almost unrecognizable. It's much more rock and rage-filled, and i don't really like rock and 'hard' songs, but i do understand her rage in this one.
