I went to this concert with my partner, who is a massive fan. Personally, I hadn't listened to Aurora before, so it was my first experience, sitting front and center. The show was beautiful, and the energy was incredible throughout, but the performance of this song was absolutely incredible. I told my partner it was the most powerful experience I'd ever had through music, by a lot. To go from "tagging along" to "experiencing one of my most powerful memories" in the span of an hour and a half speaks to the generational talent involved in producing this performance. I feel very grateful to have been present, so thank you.

Me too!! It wasn't until afterwards that I learned that Anna used the FULL power of the organ! (something that is very rarely done apparently) and also that because of the way pipe organs work, the sound actually resonates in your body, so you didn't just hear the music - you FELT it too! That would explain why I left my body for a few minutes when the organ kicked in!! 😂🤪

@@PedaleDouce Yeah, I feel like it's a little difficult to hear the organ in some parts which is crazy because this is one of the few performances the organist did where she played 100% volume but in the recording they're covering the organ with a lot of the percussion/piano/backgrounds which is a shame to me because it's what makes this performance so special, however, I was worried that we were never going to get any recordings so I'm glad to have this even if I would've mixed it differently myself lol

Thank you for posting this, it gives some idea just how good your live performances are, rather than the phone recordings we hear. I don't know if I will ever hear you live as I have very severe cPTSD, so attending any large event, tends to be an ordeal. I can see why Anna Lapwood, was so smitten with your performance. However, I suspect, that no matter how good your audio equipment, that you can never convey the full impression of one of these great pipe organs, as so much will be felt through your whole body, and not just your ears. It is much the same as any live performance.
