The same song from the concert in Nidarosdomen is also great.

That voice of hers would make the angels cry. I absolutely love that performance and go to it often to seek peace from a hard day. So glad you got to hear and see it and that you enjoyed it.

When she sings "Please don't leave me here..." at the end, that is her inner child saying don't forget me. Most of what you said can be summoned up by one of the great top comments of that Vevo video: "A 19-year-old girl without any prior professional music background did this. She wrote the lyrics, composed the melody, sang the song in the purest way that humans expected to connect with: no instrument, only the voice alone. It is not only beautiful. it's magic." Aurora actually called "Enya - May It Be" for the greatest song of all times in a Sep 2017 podcast, so she was probably inspired by it (CC for Eng Subs): youtu . be / sfaW0VVzHoE&t=59m39s

I assume you're talking about the Mixtape Memoir podcast? Her episode on that is probably my favorite interview with her ever. First, it's nice and long....and Aurora seems very locked in and interested but also very relaxed and comfortable. But it's also just THE best ASMR ever. I've played that podcast episode to fall asleep more times than I could count...

Actually....maybe I'm thinking of another podcast. On the Mixtape Memoir one she goes through like 5 or 6 songs that meant the most to her at various stages in her life. And one pick was Enya's song Ebudae. She said it was the first time she realized music could be like medicine and actually literally heal a person. I'd love to hear Aurora cover Ebudae. Then again, she and Enya sorta come from a very similar place musically....so maybe it wouldn't be different enough. But she took Alanis' song Thank U, which sounds like it _could_ have been written by Aurora, and totally did it justice...despite doing a pretty straight ahead rendition of it.

Her arrangement of this for her masterpiece concert in the Nidarosdomen is even more powerful. An emotional devastation.

Enya is one of her role models. Next to Leonard Cohan. She also has a lot of Dolores from the cranberries vocally.

Great reaction as always you guys🤗 I love this song so much, one of my favourites by her💕 I don’t know if you care about this, but the whole song was played in the series “The 100”, in a sad scene of course😉🥰

Thank you! Finally, someone said it. I cannot get on board with Pentatonix. Glad to know I'm not alone. Their entire vibe is just so.....unsubtle. And garish. And corny. It's like doing some shtick...that never ends. Can they sing? Obviously, yes. Do I feel _anything_ from their stuff? Not a thing. It's so sterile and hammy. It's like if People magazine could sing. I like to imagine people who describe themselves as "an addict" because they just had a second cup of coffee, or who own a "Rosé All Day" t-shirt....must love their music.

I love this performance, it's so soft, and so lovely. A real pleasure to watch. Thanks for your nice reaction, maybe a bit less soft, maybe a bit less lovely🙂... but still, nice to watch, as always.🙂👍

Guy's, Another Norwegian singer you should listen to is Angelina Jordan. She does a great rendition of Screamin J Hawkins I Put A Spell On You. This is something everyone should experience at least once in their life. Black and white video when she was 9 years old is the one you want to see. Simply Amazing. Greatest rendition of all time.

There is no "wrong one" when it comes to Aurora. Yes the performance at Nidarosdomen is great, this performance really highlights her, and her band's, vocal ability to the front. The harmonisation is just wonderful to listen to.

As gorgeous as this is.....the Nidarosdomen version kinda ruined every other version of this song for me. It's also almost entirely acapella....but with a full choir backing her, and I think that cathedral's massive organ as well. And the camera work and the lighting.....it's just beyond epic. Nidarosdomen is the definitive version of this song imo. However, I still really do love this version. It's more pure and raw in a way. The lighting and atmosphere really suit it.
