I've heard this song countless times and I still get tears in my eyes every time. Wonderful. I love my Nordic neighbors. Hello from Schleswig-Holstein, the only true north of Germany.

Aurora Aksnes, known mononymously as Aurora, is a Norwegian singer. i like AURORA - Runaway a great song. But if you have the time please check out Eivør - Falling Free (Live at the Old Theater in Torshavn) This young lady is full of talent and I am a big fan.Eivør Pálsdóttir, known mononymously as Eivør, is a Faroese singer-songwriter and actress. Born and raised in Syðrugøta, she had her first televised performance at the age of 13.Thank you and stay safe.

Her style of singing in this song is very much like the Irish style of keening used in mourning grief . Terrific voice . Delores from the Cranberries used the style a lot . Nice reaction ladies .

Delighted to see y'all reacting to Aurora, I love her healing tones! Her music is powerful and lovely, and she does beautiful covers from time to time, that's how I discovered her years ago after my mom had a stroke I was looking for something soothing and found her cover of Teardrop by a band called Massive Attack its so so beautiful hopefully you all can check it out, it's on a KZbin channel called 'like a version' you get to see her play piano, and banter with the dj, she's adorable🌌💙✨🕊

Great reaction, ladies! This entire concert is something special, but this song is certainly one of the bigger highlights. As much as you've liked Aurora in your limited exposure, you'll find that the more you explore her music and performances, the more you'll appreciate her voice, artistry and songwriting, as well as her fantastic ability to perform. All the best! 👍😍🤟

To the oldest girl in the room: Aurora has done a sweet rose bed of covers " Across the Universe" by the Beatles "Famous Blue Raincoat" by Leonard Cohen "God Is a Woman" by Ariana Grande "Life on Mars" by David Bowie "Make You Feel My Love" by Bob Dyland "Moon River" (Written for Audrey Hepburn) "Mr. Tambourine Man" by Bob Dyland "Nature Boy" (Written for Nat King Cole) "Scarborough Fair" (Trad. Irish song) "So Long, Marianne" (Performed once in Canada, days after Leonard Choen passed away) "Teardrop" by Massive Attack "Thank U" by Alanis Morissette ...and more. She has a tendency to change them up quite a bit, usually by making them minimalistic while retaining every ounce of emotional core. If you want to see a really fun cover, you should start by looking at Bonney M's original version of "Rasputin" live (hold on to your hats for some pretty excessive 1970s European show-disco) before watching Aurora and band members being challenged to make their own version within an hour. It takes Aurora to instantly discover that a rather sad Slavic-sounding folk song is hiding under the absolute madness of the 1970s.

Acnowledgement, apparent indifference, and understanding. Loveley to see all your reactions. But it's not about Auroras physical looks, is it. It is about the words, the story, the music, the emotions. Age beyond her years. Lovely to see a generational reaction. Lulu needs to smile more, or react more, or at least show her emotions. Kathy and Donna are open books. Which is awesome. They react emotionally to what they hear. The younger generation don't like to show what they feel, do they. She obviously feels it, but doesn't want to show it. Emotion isn't a sign of weakeness, but of strength :) xxxxxxx Great video. Thank you x

So, you're back to Aurora. Thanks to Tarkus. Aurora writes her songs entirely, but she can make her covers sound like if they are her own. So in a way, most of the time she rewrites them, or more accurately their music... and it's interesting to know that she has more than 50 unreleased songs, that you can find on YT. As I write "more than 50", it seems to me to be a joke, kind of, but it is even truely not. She does really enjoy writing songs, doesn't she?🙂 She even performs sometimes versions of her songs that can sound completely differently, depending on her mood or the venue or any state of her mind or her inspiration. Aurora making Aurora covers, so to speak. A very interesting singing lady, as creative as she is talented. In exemple, you should check out this other live version of this song: Aurora - Through The Eyes Of A Child (Live) - Stripped (Vevo UK LIFT): kzbin.info/www/bejne/eXfddquLg5aBbqs Any song from this magnificent concert at Nidarosdomen would be welcome, and she has so many more ... in exemple: Aurora - It Happened Quiet (Live at The Current): kzbin.info/www/bejne/b4aQf2mCpt-Xf68 or 20191123 - AURORA - HAIK, Infections of a different kind, Full HD with CCs (2/7): kzbin.info/www/bejne/b2e2nXSFlq2XnNE , HAIK being the name of the TV program it comes from, or Aurora - Warrior - 5/25/2018 - Paste Studios - New York, NY: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oImzfoxuaaiLhZI Anyway, thanks for reacting to Aurora, this bright and brilliant singing Lady.🙂👍

Very nice reaction👍 Yes you’re right, she wrote this song😍 Thank you Tarkus, my friend, for suggesting this song and performance which we love so much🥰 Nidarosdomen (Nidaros Cathedral) is the world’s northernmost medieval cathedral and Norway’s national sanctuary. It is also the burial church of the Viking King St. Olav (Olav Haraldson). Fun fact: The whole song is played in the series “The 100” (season 4, in the end of episode 12) Could you please react to Aurora with: “Exhale Inhale” live at Vevo😍 This is a song from her latest album released in January 2022 She has just released two new songs, and I highly recommend them as well. “Your Blood” and “The conflict of the mind” We’re waiting for her new album, hopefully it’ll be released soon👍

Aurora is the closest you come an angel on earth. Shes incredibly sharp and already as a kid,she would score really high on different IQ tests and such at school. To a point where other mean kids would start teasing her,but Aurora has always been very good at communications and bringing good argumentations to the table. So she confronted them early on,where they would admit that they were jealous of her being so smart. I think she dodged becoming a victim of bullying that way. Her parents were also great in her upbringing, she would have all these imaginary friends that she brought in with her to eat lunch, dinner and her parents never questioned it,but instead served up plates to her imaginary friends as well. And like Aurora said herself: they never asked questions or demanded a checkup for diagnosis. Is there something there with Aurora? Me having followed her for years,i would say that i wouldnt be surprised if there is,but by her parents making this a non issue so early on,i think they just wished to state that: "Our daughter is special, and we love her just the way she is. Whatever she might have to her,it doesnt affect her functionality, communications etc in a bad way. She doesnt suffer from it,so why should we?" I think thats why she brings so many reactors to tears,as she is soo expressive with her songs. Either through her vocals only,or combined with her stage presence. There is simply noone like Aurora. And shes yet another music starlet from "tiny Norway",alongside Angelina Jordan,Astrid S (as you already know abit,im coming back with more from her too) and many more female artists around the same age groups. (From around 17 to late 20s,early 30s) I intend to bring many of them into the light with time. But for now,i know that Aurora,Astrid S and Angelina are very supportive and proud of eachother.
