Its in one of the oldest cathedrals in the world (Trondheim, Norway) and the acoustic in there is magical, so is the orchestra playing with her. Bill Weekley Hi Bill, I really loved all that you said and included Angelina too. I wanted to ask you if you have ever seen Aurora live at a radio station with an audience in Iceland. It is Incredible. You get to know more of Aurora. If you watch it, in the search just type her name and Iceland Radio . Anyway, at one point she is between songs and she says “ I’m hurting, my arm is hurting from ‘this arm netting I just thought looked nice, but now it is my shame”. “My Left Arm is my Shame because it is weak”. I was really surprised by that, and I felt bad and sad for her that she felt that way. If you watch it I would love to know what you think. Her performance there was so fun, you could tell she was having so much fun, and she danced a lot, took her shoes off, which I love ( dancing). I love to see her dancing and singing come out at the same time. I find her to be a force of nature, sometimes powerful sometimes peaceful....oh I don’t know, I am just so grateful to be alive and have had the chance to see and feel more than I ever thought I could. She brings out every emotion you can possibly have. I have shown my grown children her and her music and they feel, maybe not as strongly as I do, lol ...but they see it and feel it. I was lucky enough to see her live twice in 2019. Once in a very small venue that's made to look like an enchanted forest, and it's the best concert experience I've ever had. The way she's able to jump around barefoot on stage and still never lose control over her voice.

I honestly did not care for the way that venue returned her voice, some of these old cathedrals are acoustically beautiful and some aren't, that cathedral is gorgeous but it is shaped like a cross and i think that is why i didn't care for the return "most" of the time. It also fostered some comments about her tone being less than acceptable, a lot of people who take in Aurora's voice for the first time comment on her tone not being right because they do not understand she is working that Narnia/epic fantasy or Nordic feel angle, it is tone intentional and is an acquired taste, or not, she can sing normally from a tone perspective if she wants to and has. She is a very rare niche, Soul has also done Diana Ankudinova, i would love to hear her and Aurora collaborate on material like this, the blend of sound there. The venue at Bergen was a much better return in my opinion.

Based on the description of your book....this is probably the best match for you of any singer I can imagine. She was a prodigy child and began writing music at age six and put lyrics to it not long after that. My suggestion is that you take a look at her words before you react to a song. I don't know yet if you have done any other songs from her but you might begin with "Lucky". She wrote the song at age 9 and it is about overcoming thoughts of suicide. If you get past that then you go to the song that was made for you - "Murder Song (5,4,3,2,1)". Sung live at the 2015 Noble Peace Ceremony.
