@simonbennett94864 сағат бұрын
Yup, it definitely needs some TLC. You'd think that seeing it out there in the middle of the track, it would be a constant source of annoyance to the workshop guys to see it in such bad shape all the time. One day its salvation will come 🤞

Great to see Graham doing what he loves. As much as he is a gun panel beater, you could tell from when he was doing up his Stuart tank that this is where his passion now was. I'm sure he will be a great asset to the museum but as a Ford guy, I'll miss his quality work on old Ford restorations.

Welcome Graham - great job there mate, you KYS (know your s***). I love the radial engines, the turning to avoid hydraulic lock in the cylinders is critical. I used to help on the HARS Lockheed Super Connie. It had 18-cylinder 2 bank 3350 ci radials and needed 60 blades of the props on all four engines before every start. That was hard work with 2 of us turning with the 9 foot prop blades as a lever. I imagine turning a 975 ci with a crank handle was VERY HARD. Glad you didn’t blow an O-ring. PS you passed the audition mate! 😃👍👍👍

The Bovongton Tank Museum has a note on its exhibit's webpage suggesting they are called 'Kangaroos' because they carried their troops in their armored "pouch' (and photos do kind of resemble a bunch of Joey's heads protruding from their mums' pouches :)

That is really awesome to see Graham working with you guys now. He looks more fit like he has dropped a few pounds and his cropped haircut is a big improvement for that young man. My wife enjoyed watching him with me when he had his old channel. His nerdy, yet highly knowledgeable demeanor combined with his funny "dad jokes" endeared him with her and made watching his videos with her fun. Kind of like watching Darryl. I think you guys hit it out of the park for future videos by hiring him, and we hope to see more of him in the future!

They were built off the lee haul with a six pounder that was upgraded sometime during the war to another gun I forget. If memory serves me right they did the earlier batches with the machine gun turret but either got rid of it or covered it up. Also for those thinking it’s a knockoff Sherman, it kinda is but came out just a bit before the Sherman.

So glad you adopted Graham and gave a forever home to one of my favorite Aussie misfits 😂 As a retired panel beater in the United States, he had one of my favorite channels which I was sad to see go, but his talents will be a great asset to Aus Armour. Make sure you keep him well fed, pat his head and scratch his belly on the reg. I'm so glad we didn't have to send him to "that farm in the country" instead.👍
