Hi Jonny & Woody, Congratulations on the new Sports Bar I think he do very well he got the right attitude and sense of humour I just hope he is able to keep it. I also for a guy never fitted out a bar he has done a great job fair play to him. Yes it’s better not to get into any altercation with customers especially with too much drink on them it’s a no win situation in Thailand especially if the cops are called. Lucky most people a decent and don’t cause any trouble, just make sure you got a very good cashier watching out for you I would put he on some kind of commission it will pay in the end. Have a security camera always on the till and around the bar ( I think Woody said he had ) camera’s don’t lie. I will be in Hua Hin on the 30th June I drop in to say hello to Woody. I went to Hua Hin for the first time in April, one thing I noticed was that they don't put your bar bin on the table in the bar's there, they kept the bar bin behind the bar so I couldn't keep a eye on what drink's I brought

Good luck Woody, I'm also from the GC and have run some real big sports bars in Aus, wish you all the best, tough gig to do in Thailand, food is a big thing , hope you get the food licence soon, I've been married to my Thai wife for 17 years and have 2 kids, running a bar in Thailand is the last thing I would want to do haha, wish you all the best mate, we plan on coming to Hua Hin this year, so we'll call by for a good session, ( my misses love the horses and betting on the TAB, hopefully you have the races on)

Fair to say woody is a top bloke. If he has the business in others names it's best and that's a better chance to take rather than being the guy with the target on ya back. Tbh playing the silent partner is always the best step forward. Take yourself out of the spotlight and keep yourself known to foreigners. It's an extra layer of protection. Wish you all the best. I think if you have a bar that caters to the locals you would be successful, it would be very hard to survive just relying on the tourist market. Woody had a great concept can’t go wrong with sports. Food and cold beer 🍺
