I think a good tour guide is a must for a vacation traveler new to a city these days. Cuts the learning curve and they can make introductions. I am retired military and have used social media apps to select my own guide/local without their knowledge then made contact and developed a genuine friendship while they showed me around and gave me introduction and credibility to learn, have fun and do business.

what wasnt highlighted is that the guys working in the host clubs are under pressure to make the lonely female customers feel like they are in a relationship. and then manipulate the girls to pay them lots of cash to keep them "exclusive". theres a good doco on youtube about it. and I was shocked to see all the foreigners in golden gai. last time I went 15 years ago there were none (other than me). good video jonny. welcome to japan

Good vlog Jonny, I was in Angeles city the PI when I met two English guys one of which was working in Japan and he told me about bars where virile young western guys hung out and Japanese women would come to pick them up and in the morning leave them with an envelope with a hefty payment in and I mean hefty.

@17:07 I stayed at that hotel on the right hand side. Pretty nice, the room was about $80US/night and was the size of my bathroom back home. Behind the hotel is a love motel where I saw endless men > 50 years old walking in with young women between the ages of 18-30.

I have lived in Pattaya for 19 years it is a city with mostly everything. From beaches to many tourist sites and of course the biggest night life l think anywhere in the world .Also all kinds of restaurants with all kinds of foods.
