(Best New Artist) Looking For A New Love-#2 Some Kind Of Lover-#10 He and Jody wrote Still A Thrill together it hit #8 on the Dance charts. He even did his Prince thing, he played ALL the instruments on many of the songs on that album. I don’t know how or why they got divorced but they made awesome music together.

Andre Cymone is the Bass player for Princes band in the 70,s, early 80's. He was Prince's roommate at 15 years old. Andre helped craft the sound we all associate with Prince and Minneapolis in his basement as teenagers.He left to pursue a solo career and still releases music.

He even said as much on a record “Take This Beat” Take this beat I don’t mind I got plenty others And they so fine He also did a special sample project that he wanted to sell for 700 bucks. It was made for Hip Hop producers and that cost was the only thing they ever had to pay. No permissions would be required and no royalties would ever need to be paid. If was a 7 CD set and it was chocked full of material. It never got released.

I remember watching BET for HOURS waiting for this video. I loved Andre just like I loved the Time, Sheila, Dez Dickerson's Group (remember Modernaire?), V6, A6 --- all of them. For me, there was a period between 1980 and 1986 when Prince and his associates could do no wrong. Every track composed and produced during that time was a reflection of the divine wrapped in a mouth-watering groove. There was nothing like it. I doubt there ever will be. +Aussiebattlervideos2 He is not related to Prince, but Prince did help him with this song. In fact this was one of Prince's unreleased songs that he worked with Andre Cymone on. P.S. they were childhood friends for a long time and he was in Prince's early bands like Grand Central. Believe it or not, i'm only 14 and know so much about Prince you would think i'm like 50:)
