@@tcpnetworks The car is over 10 years old. Even if replaced, is is worth it plus the thousands in front end damage ? $8500 for a 2014 Accent with 149,000 Km on the dial. Front end repair $2500 (if not structural damage) , air bags (probably $1500 each x 2 = $3000 plus labor to fit them) so up to $5500 out of $8500 (if no further damage) Taking a close look at the video, the bonnet is a bit pushed up (new bonnet) , the front bumper is trashed (broken in the middle and folding under the car) The steel bar / frame is most likely bent at least a little. If the airbags hadn't gone off (both driver and passenger) , then yeah. Maybe repairable

But Gilligan's island is on netflix :D (kidding) Actually I get the feeling the driver was looking in the left mirror too long. They did the left indicator at the last second then noticed the vehicle in front and jammed on the brakes. Not sure if they were hung up on the motorcycle close by . That's just a guess though by what I saw. I didn't interview them . Besides, would have been a tough time for them as their airbags had deployed and no doubt their eyes were hurting.

The white car should have stopped regardless. However, the Subaru's break lights only came on after they were hit. Perhaps the Subaru came off the accelerator and was able to slow down, but some breaking might have signaled better

Watch it again. The Subarus brake lights come on a couple times... Meaning he's contemplating and trying... Something you can't do
